Quote of the Day

| Filed under: Quote of the DayTaylor Swift

"I think it's just obnoxious if I complain about anything…I hear people talk about like, oh, the intrusions on my privacy. It's like there are a million other jobs you could have had. And for me, I've just come to an acceptance of the fact, this is my life. If somebody wants to hide a relationship or has privacy issues then we don't have the same viewpoint. For me, it's just like live your life. If people happen to take picture then you know, you laugh about it in the car afterwards."

Now I know there's at least one greatful to be rich as hell and famous celebutard….

  2. 2

I agree with her. The payback for being rich/famous is the lack of privacy.

  3. 3

I admire her. I hate when celebrities complain about the lack of privacy. You know what you are getting into when you become a celebrity. Chris Brown knew how people would rip him apart in the news if he messed up and he gets pissed when they ask him the same questions. Vanessa Hudgens wonders why all of her pictures keep getting leaked. Well do not take nude pictures and then send them to people. Finally one celebrity that actually realizes everything that comes along with being famous.

taylor, that cocky thing you do with your eyebrow is not cute, it's creepy

  5. 5

There's taking your picture which is fine. And then there are paparazzi cars parked outside your house or tailing you wherever you go or chasing you - that's scary. When your celebrity is so big and anything is news… Don't think Taylor is talking about that…

  6. 6

sounds like she's got a good head on her shoulders and good perspective on things so far

  7. 7

Aww I like Taylor. I'm not a fan of her music, but I admire her humility and how normal and grateful she sounds when everyone else is b*tching about fame and acting like a mess. She sound like she has her head on her shoulders and is a good role model for girls.

  8. 8

she seems brighter than most every celeb who seems to be blind-sided by that trappings of fame.

  9. 9

I'm pretty sure she was refering to her relationships , not Kristen Stewart and her hatred of the paps. I loathe Taylor and her perfect curly hair. barf.

    alien head

What is cool is that she's going bold on a subject an older person would say. She already has won so many grammys and country awards and stellar Billboard chart success so whatever she says now is just for kicks. Not everyone is like Taylor or has had the perfect life like her. So Bravo for celebs who say the exact opposite of what she said too. the more variety the better. they didn't create taht Variety magaizine for nothin'.

thats because she likes the attention…

  13. 13

I like everything about Taylor Swift - I admire this so much, but I think i admire how she won't pose for FHM and magazines like that the most. I don't care what people think - her music is just awesome :)

  14. 14

She's 21 and has forehead lines already. It will be a mess by the time she's 30….the Sean Penn look.

  15. 15

As much as I hate her and hate her music, this was actually a pretty cool thing to say. It's actually refreshing for once to not hear a douchey celebrity complaining about being rich and famous.

  16. 16

I'm also not the biggest fan of Taylor and her music, but I think she's handled herself with an amazing amount of composure, and grace.
The thing that irks me the most about celebrities is how ungrateful they are… you have to FIGHT to get into the business, and most of these people act as if acting/singing/etc. is a burden that has been forced upon them. It's not. Most people who really love acting or singing, whose passion it is, would give anything to be in the position these celebrities are in - yet they act dour, unhappy and rude to their fans and colleagues, who are the people who got them to the position they're in in the first place.
So it's nice for someone to realize, yes, we could have had any job in the world but we were lucky enough to have this one, and I will take the consequences that follow.

  17. 17

    I love Taylor swift.

  18. 18

    well, BUUUUUUUUUURN, Jake G.

  19. 19

Re: marlow – If you have makeup on and furrow your brow, you get lines..I am pretty sure that is what happened. I honestly doubt its her getting old but try again..

  20. 20

yea it's much less obnoxious to whine about boyfriends in annoying pop songs

  21. 21

Uhm all she does in her songs is complain about her failed relationships and how its all her Bf's faults….

  22. @v@ says – reply to this

She sounds pretty well rounded and chill with most of it. It will probably grate after thirty years and fifty plus pounds or three divorces, and the paps catch her yet again coming out of a fast food joint in torn sweats and no lipstick and bad hair with grey roots because she hasn't had time with the three kids to get at the laundry or the housekeeper quit yesterday. Good she's young enough not to mind constant intrusion.

  23. 23

Uhm didn't she deny she date John Mayer UNTIL she released speak now? Anyhow, the entertainment industry is a bit invasive and the paparazzi snapping inappropriate pictures or divulging personal details is never acceptable she needs to think before she speaks.

    Re: bich45 – I could not agree more :)

  24. 24

Re: UhYeah – She didn't deny that she was dating him, she just never commented on it. She's just saying that if people take pictures and want to speculate, that's fine, they can do whatever they want but she doesn't let it get to her because that's part of her life now. And no, not "all of her songs" are about failed relationships and blaming her ex-boyfriends. Have you heard "Back to December?" Or any of her love songs with happy endings? Or for that matter, any of the other songs about her family/her band/friends/other themes? There are several. Get your facts straight!

  25. 25

I find Taylor Swift Extremely Irritating…. I dunno why

  26. 26

I find Taylor obnoxiously gorgeous. Don´t know why. She is one clever girl…she works the media so incredibly well.
