| Filed under: TV NewsSarah Michelle Gellar

Awesome news! We're so excited to have her back on TV!!!

Sarah Michelle Gellar's CBS pilot, The Ringer, has been picked up for a series. Surprisingly, the show's going to air on The CW, Buffy The Vampire Slayer's home for its last two seasons on air.

Coming full circle! WooHoo! Fingers crossed the show has the longevity of Buffy!

well technically since the CW was the merging of UPN and the WB it was the home of Buffy it's entire series. Because Buffy was on the WB from seasons 1-5 and then UPN seasons 6-7. But either way I am so excited that she is back on tv !!!

Great news! However it's old news Perez, this was announced Monday and it is Saturday now

Hey idiot, Buffy aired 5 seasons on the WB and 2 on UPN, it never aired on the CW. The CW didn't even exist at the time. A real reporter would check their facts, but everyone knows all you do is just copy/paste articles from other websites.

Re: TrannyTakesATumble – …Then why do you come here? To bitch and complain? Find something better to do with your time.
BTW so happy she's returning to TV, I hope it's a good show!!

Actually, the CW exists in part because of Sarah Michelle Gellar and the Buffy crew. See, when the WB canceled Buffy and UPN picked it up and placed it right before a show called America's Next Top Model. Since ANTM was so tremendously successful and Buffy sustained, it lead away a great deal of the WB's audience. With viewership split and a slew of WB shows quickly losing the rosy bloom they once had, the network began to lose money and eventually had to merge with UPN in order to survive. So that's what you get for screwing over BUFFY and FELICITY and shows with actual substance in favor of shit like 7'th Heaven.

I can't wait to see this new show. Sarah needs to get back to TV. We've missed her! Does anyone know the date it's going to air?

lol I literally made an account to correct you on this. As a very big buffy fan I can confidently tell you that buffy was on the wb for the first five seasons, and then UPN for the last two. The CW did not even exist back then. Perez for someone who is supposedly the queen of all media, you sure do have a LOT of errors in your articles. I think I know more about movies and the entertainment business than you do at this point, and you have quite some years on me. You need to be more educated in your chosen field. Although I guess since this is a gossip site, facts are not really important anyway.
