Now if that isn't an act of war, we don't know what is!
Universal just announced the release date for their Snow White tale, Snow White and the Huntsman, as June 1st 2012. Now, this probably does not make ANYONE happy over at Relativity, who already slated their Snow White take, once called Brothers Grimm: Snow White, for a month later than that.
It was ready to drop on June 29th, 2012!
The thing that makes this an act of war rather than just coincidence upon announcing a date, was that Universal was all about December 2012 for the release of their movie!
Both movies have been fighting for the biggest stars to be in their versions too: Grimm landing Julia Roberts early on, with news of Armie Hammer to play the prince coming just recently. They also have the stunning visionary director Tarsem Singh behind the lens, which will make for a very visually incredible production.
Huntsman got out of the gates a little later as far as casting, but nabbed Kristen Stewart of the Twilight craze to be Snow White. But, they then ran into issues with the huntsman before recently casting Chris Hemsworth in the role. Their director, Rupert Sanders, isn't nearly as known as Singh.
The competition will be really engaging to watch. The question is: Which version will be the Illusionist to Christopher Nolan's The Prestige??
Which do U think will be better??
