Move over Don Francisco, Spanish television personality Cristina Saralegui is taking over.

The Cuban born Saralegui is developing a weekly variety program on Telemundo. She’ll also be executive producer of the new show as well as the host.

Said Cristina:

"I am thrilled to be joining the Telemundo family in this next chapter of my career. Together, I look forward to creating ground breaking television that will entertain, inform, and inspire my people."

Don Browne, President of Telemundo, adds:

"I've admired and respected Cristina for years. She personifies the American dream and she inspires and empowers Hispanics throughout the US. Her coming to Telemundo is truly a dream come true.”

The 63-year-old icon and twelve-time Emmy-award winner’s new gig is set to air later this year.

We can’t wait to watch the show. We might need to make a cameo as well.

Congrats, Cristina!
