What a big day it must have been for him!

Check out this shot of James Franco in full cap and gown during the graduation ceremony for New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, at which he was in a graduate program for filmmaking (above)!

Congratulations, sir!

We're sure that you're a seasoned pro at this sort of thing by this point, but it's still an amazing accomplishment!

James Franco is a wanking tool. He totally screwed over Grub Street where he was supposed to be the star speaker, 1 day before the event. He pulled out (literally) because he had to "hang out with Paul McCartney." Thanks, James (wank) 3000 people who paid tickets to hear you speak in Boston MA have VERY long memories. Jerk.

    Re: fizzywa2er
Um I was actully someone who was supposed to go to the Boston Seminar and James had to cancel because of filming conflicts.
His mom tweeted me telling me he did everything not to cancel and that they are sorry… His mom told me that he had filming conflicts and had no way out…
So dont make up rumors if you dont know the truth. James is amazin

He likely gets a total pass. I saw a slew of celebrities/athletes get easy admission into Stanford while having little to justify their acceptance. Schools think that celebrities raise the profile of the school and will be more likely to contribute funds once they graduate.
