This isn't good.
Katy Perry is reportedly not thrilled about her mother's new memoir, which has unfortunately caused a rift between the two.
In the book, Mary Hudson takes her resentment for Katy's "risque" performances public, writing:
"Katy stepped out from behind the changing doors in a tiny risque costume. No mother wants to see the top of her daughter's boobs…"
It's not like she's stripping! What mother HASN'T seen the top of her daughter's boobs? It's called cleavage!
The Christian evangelist pastor continues to explain her distaste for her daughter's lyrics as well, saying:
"I recognised the psalmist gift in her performance. Yet she sang out, 'I kissed a girl, and I liked it,' while thousands joined her. One part of my heart soared… the other part broke for the thousands of hungry souls being fed something that didn't nourish their spirit, but fed their flesh."
Despite the judgement clearly cast down upon her daughter for becoming a successful pop star, Mary insists she is writing "a Christian faith book, not some kind of tell all book about my daughter."
It sounds like a tell all book about her resentment towards her daughter to us! We respect Mary's Christian faith, but don't understand why she needs to talk about Katy in order to write about it.
Sadly, we do know why she needs to write about Katy if her intentions are to sell a lot of copies.
Thankfully, Katy's father and Mary's husband, Keith Hudson, wants to put an end to their conflict, saying:
"The situation has caused quite a bit of tension. I don't want that anymore."
We truly hope whatever damage that has been done can be repaired because we'd hate to see Katy's relationship with her mother be flushed down the drain over a book.
Do U think it's okay for Mary Hudson to write about her daughter or did she breach Katy's trust?
