So, Steven Tyler has been going around saying that getting Aerosmith to do the American Idol finale has always been the plan and that it was a go.
That's all fine and dandy and all, but why would Joe Perry being saying that isn't true at all?
Actually, Perry has been pointing out for a number of reasons why it wouldn't work, including that they've never been asked by producers, and that Brad Whitford already has a gig that night:
"(We're) not playing 'Idol' ’cause we were never asked by producers. (Guitarist) Brad (Whitford) has (a) gig that night with Experience Hendrix. It's not logistically possible. Aerosmith's looking forward to playing 'American Idol' next season when our new CD is out and we can prepare a kick-a** show if they ask us.
Makes sense to us as to why it wouldn't happen. It'd make more sense closer to the album, and if all the members could make it.
Maybe Steven could do something with the top two??
Would U be disappointed if they didn't perform?
