Ugh! Ted Nugent Talks Guns On Piers Morgan Tonight

| Filed under: Media MinutePolitikBarack ObamaSad SadPerezTVPiers Morgan

There's absolutely no reasoning with this man!

Earlier this month, Ted Nugent spoke at the NRA annual meeting and told people that they need to talk about guns all the time.

Now, Ted Nugent has opened up once again about gun control (above) on an upcoming episode of Piers Morgan Tonight, which airs on Wednesday.

Here are some rants highlights from Ted:

"Anybody that wants to disarm me can drop dead. Anybody that wants to make me unarmed and helpless, people that want to literally create the proven places where more innocents are killed called gun-free zones, we're going to beat you. We're going to vote you out of office or suck on my machine gun."

"78 of those 80 are let out of their cages by corrupt judges and prosecutors who know the recidivism is out of control, know that they'll commit the crimes again, and they let them walk through plea bargaining, early release, and programs. Kiss my ass. Where you have the most armed citizens in America, you have the lowest violent crime rate. Where you have the worst gun control, you have the highest crime rate."

"More guns equals less crime. Period."

So sad to think that anybody could have this attitude! This is exactly the kind of thinking that's standing in the way of progress with gun control policy.

As we said earlier this month, we all need to come together to figure something out regarding this gun situation. We're SO tired of seeing gun violence and kids being hurt. Obama is trying to bring about change by getting opposing sides together to find ways to make gun control more effective, rather than outright banning guns, but the NRA rejected the call!

Something really HAS to change, because the current situation with gun control is NOT working.

What do U think about Ted Nugent's comments regarding guns?

He is right! I HAVE TO live in a high-crime area of Austin, and I would NEVER be without my Glock! Just the other week, a guy attacked a woman on the street, beat the shit out of her, then took her purse, on a sidewalk in a relatively populated area of downtown. You think if she would of been armed, and pointed her gun at him, he would of hurt her? Think about that!

  2. 2

I seriously can't with you Perez. He could have said it nicer but he's right. Criminals will have guns one way or another whether the rest of us have the right to bare arms or not. I understand that kids get hurt because people keep guns loose in their houses… But that's individual stupidity, and also uncontrollable. If an adult wants to keep guns in their home locked up for protection or for hunting, they should be allowed to. If there was a way to enforce that they don't sleep with it under their bed with 4 kids in the house like an asshole, I'd be all for that. But there isn't. Guns aren't going away unfortunately, and if the "bad guys" have access, so should the rest of us. One of my best friends was shot and killed when someone tried to mug him. Stolen, unregistered, gun. I hate guns but what you're saying seems almost juvenile to me. It makes no difference. Even if you collected up every gun in the country, a black market would spring up and they'd be sneaking them in from Mexico. Then ONLY bad people would have guns. I'm sorry - but you can't just imagine an ideal world that simply isn't possible. Do you see where I'm going….

  3. 3

So sad that anyone could have that attitude? Perez, he is speaking the truth, not very articulately, but the truth nonetheless. Don't be so naive to believe that gun control will do anything. The cartels, drug dealers and the like will still be armed, getting guns and ammo on the black market. Having the ability to be armed is a constitutional right and people like you who want to change the foundation America was built on are the problem. You live in your cloud in Malibu or Beverly Hills or wherever and are out of touch with the real world. And I am speaking and someone who does not bear arms and lives in the northeast.

  4. 4

Sounds like your appeal to "everybody come together" just really means going with your plan. That is not working together. That is just getting your way.

  5. 5

He's absolutely correct! I've been preaching the same thing for years, and he took the words right out of my mouth. The governments don't give a damn about our lives. We have to right to protect ourselves, as evidenced by the 2nd amendment.

  6. 6

I agree with Ted Nugent 1,000 %!!! APPLAUSE. Trust me readers of 'Perez Hilton' - in 3 years you will be looking to buy a gun to protect you and your family from intruders looking for food in your home. THERE IS NO RECOVERY!!!! NO ECONOMIC RECOVERY!!!! DEMO-PUBLICAN or REPUBLI-CRAT. ITS A DEPRESSION!!! AND THE BANKERS OF EUROPE THAT OWN YOUR FEDERAL RESERVE CREATED IT ON PURPOSE!!!

  7. 7

All anyone needs to do is to check the crime statistics in the areas that have the strictest gun control laws compare them to the areas with the least gun control laws and you can see how much HIGHER crimes are in the areas with the STRICTEST gun laws. Like everyone has said~ the criminals will be the only ones armed. The problem isn't with LAW- ABIDING citizens who own weapons. Sorry but we have the constitution and the amendments for a reason!

  8. 8

Well Mario, Ted's intellect is on genius level. So I will go with Ted on this one. For those of you candyasses that are going to sit back and let the government have greater and greater control of your lives. . . Well good luck with that. I'll see you qued up at the newly formed State to State check-point a few years down the road. You know, like your yearly trek to SXSW. You'll have to whip out your national ID card. They'll run it through the compute. You'll wait like a good little liberal. Then you will quake inside when they tell you that you won't be able to cross state lines because it's been brought to their attention that you have too many transfatty foods stocked in your house. How would they know??!!!!!! You were monitored, either through you card swiping at the grocery store or the cameras located on every block, or friends and neighbors that are just trying to "help the nice government folks" that knocked at their door. This scenario could happen over night. So keep on voting for outright Marxists, and keep on believing that every other religion can be championed except yours, and keep on thinking the government has your interest at heart, and keep on thinking that the media is broadcasting all sides of the story and NOT trumpeting Obama 24/7. But most of all, keep on thinking that you will have a site to voice your opinion, be it a bully pulpit or the blind leading the blind.

  9. 9

People shoot guns. Guns do not shoot people. I'm not a huge gun lover in fact they make me a bit nervous, however if your a law abiding citizen you should be allowed to own them.

  10. 10

I agree with Ted! He's right.

  11. 11

I wonder what the Syrians think about gun control right about now?

  12. 12

Guns don't need to be controlled. Idiots being allowed to breed need to be controlled.

Kids get hurt by guns because of idiotic parents that should not be parents to begin with. It's not difficult for a person to put a gun in a safe or put a 5 DOLLAR trigger lock on a weapon. End of story. But guns will get the blame, but the parents do not. The only thing that needs to "change" is ignorant peoples thoughts on guns when they really know nothing about them.

  13. 13

This guy is a horrible advocate for pro-guns..hes just another idiotic stereotype redneck..He's doing more harm than good.

  14. 14

Re: caravaggio the terrible – So they let you blog from the asylum, hey?

  15. 15

Kids, It saddens me to realize that we have to start talking impeachment. Obama has just told Israel, essentially, that they should go home and prepare to die. He handed in a death sentence to Israel today, and sided with the Muslim Nations (Go figure) when he said that Israel needs to go back to it's 1967 borders. The fact that they were attacked and beat back their attackers all the way to the current border is negated by Obama in one speech. He wants them to shrink to an eight mile nation and not be able to be close enough to their neighbors to defend against an all out attack. Obama has shown us today that he is indeed an indoctrinated Muslim and he has also shown us that he is Jimmy Carter revisited when it comes to Jews, and the most discouraging thing is that is shows he is taking orders from Soros, who claimed years ago that there would not be world peace until there was no more Israel. And now Soros owns 48% of our media. Beware the Government Media Complex indeed.
In my opinion impeachment is the only way to get this dangerous man out of the highest office in our nation, and the only way to get this country back into the hands of our populace and the thinking person. It's only going to take a stroke of the pen and then OUR borders would be gone. Heck, he won't defend them, they're already gone.
He must be impeached, In My Opinion.

  16. 16

Re: Noah Doubt – Dude, its a gossip blog. Get a grip.

  17. 17

He's absolutely right. Shut the fuck up you fat pink haired piece of shit

  18. 18

Re: NookiesWA – The only one stereotyping is YOU! HE at least tells you to LEARN how to USE a weapon and not just go out and buy one. He is actually a guitarist from the 1970s in the heyday of the 70s sound. Redneck? Nah.

  19. 19

With weather control weapons like HAARP guns are the least of your worries.

  20. 20

Re: NookiesWA – But wait, aren't you an inbred redneck yourself? Your numerous vile, racist comments would seem to indicate that. So as well as beign a racist piece of shit, you are also a hypocrite. Wow, didn't see that one coming, did we fuckface?

  21. 21

I never understand why gun owners are discriminated against so heavily. I own about 10 guns, most of which are for hunting. I pray I never have to use my .357 for self defense, but it's better to judged by 12 than be carried by 6 if it comes to that. If liberals get their way, people like me will be punished and criminals will still have guns illegally.

  22. 22

Re: TORTEZ – Yeah NO SHIT TORTEZ!!! Good on ya! They don't even know what the fuck you just said, and you just gave they them the motherloade. The TRUTH. Jesse Ventura is a good guy.

  23. 23

Re: galileosstar4 – Best example would be Kennesaw, Ga which requires all homeowners to own a handgun. Nearly zero crime.

  24. 24

Why can't we have Uncle Ted as president??! We might actually climb out of this sorry ass state of the union we are in….

An armed society is a polite society.

  25. 25

I agree with Ted nuggent. My guns are for my and my husband's personal use for hunting and protecting our family. None of my guns have ever killed a human being. Try enforcing the laws we currently have instead of making more regulations on non-criminal citizens.

  26. 26

    I agree with ya Ted!

  27. 27

I'm a true liberal, who supports gay marriage, and many social programs. I see nothing wrong with what this guy is saying. Owning a gun is one of the foundations on this country. That right can not be taken away or limited. The people who abuse the laws in place are breaking them already. If drugs get here illegally, there is nothing stopping guns. Its a waste of resources fighting something that is #2 on the list of rights for Americans. #1 being that Perez can voice his opinion.

  28. 28

    Nugent is a hypocritical pic.

  29. 29

    Ted Nugent did drugs.

Ted Nugent fathered a bunch of kids out of wedlock.

Ted Nugent had sex when he was almost 30 years old with a 12 year old girl.

Ted Nugent pretended to be insane so that some other young man would be forced to go to Vietnam and fight and possibly die in his place.

Ted Nugent — lying, hypocritical, draft dodging, cowardly pedophile.

  30. 30

Go Ted Nugent! Look, outlawing guns or putting strict gun control laws isn't going to decrease violence in this country. There are so many other things that could be used as weapons. Swing a baseball a certain way at someone - boom, they're dead. Are we going to then ban baseball bats? Of course not. Guns do not kill people - the people behind them do. 100%. I challenge you to do research on violence in other countries - specifically countries that ban guns. Surprising or not, places where guns are banned are deadlier than places that allow them. Places like England, Japan, and Sweden (just to name a few) ALL saw their violence rates amplified AFTER banning guns.

  31. 31

The only thing that ever truly frightens or worries me about firearms isn't necessarily crime related. What about mental stability. Im all for gun ownership, but its chill inducing when some one can become depressed or enraged enough to harm either themselves or others. School shootings… Columbine or VA Tech for example. Maybe thats more security related, but its still terrifying that things like that even occur!

  32. 32

OMG, I was very afraid to see the comments when I logged in on this topic, but my belief in the basic reasonable nature of humanity have been restored when I saw the positive comments here. Those opposed to gun ownership will likely feel the opposite way though. This is such a hot-button topic that rarely do I encounter such a preponderance of honest support for this matter. It is so true that lawfully-possessed and properly secured firearms are rarely used in the commission of a crime. In fact the FBI/DOJ maintains statistics on gun crime- and the use of firearms in self-defense too, and I believe the statistics show that hundreds of thousands of people every year use legally-owned guns to protect themselves against the roaming hordes of Orcs, Borg and zombies permeating our society in greater numbers every day. I heartily believe in the basic right of every person to lawfully defend themselves. I also believe that choosing to carry a weapon-or keep one in your home- is a great responsibility, and one that people should be required to train themselves for. The Founding Fathers did intend that firearms be the last bastion of defense against a hostile government too. Just ask the British of 1776. :) Thus endeth the sermon.

  33. 33

Actually, if you look at the crime statistics in the U.S., the places with the highest violent crime rates are the areas with the most guns. That's just a fact. For violent crimes, SC ranks #1, TN #2, NV #3, FL #4, LA #5…and the list goes on like that. The top 20 states for violent crime are almost ALL right-wing "You'll pry this gun from my cold dead hands" states.
Now I'm FOR protecting our 2nd amendment rights, but his statement is just patently false. I'm sorry, but I'm not for using misinformation as an argument in favor of protecting our rights. He IS right about letting violent criminals out on the streets again and again. Now THERE is a GOOD argument to make.

  34. 34

Re: NookiesWA – I agree. They need to get someone who is more articulate, and less "stereotypical redneck." Even though "stereotypical redneck" is what half of town consists of, there is nothing I hate more than poor representation. Example: Heidi Montag promoting the Republican party during the past Presidential election *gags repeatedly*

  35. 35

Perez is trying to comment on everything "controversial" so he can be "controversial". His politics is so typical of his ilk-all emotion and nothing factual. Had he simply checked that guns don't kill, people kill, he'd have a better understanding.

  36. 36

People in poor neighborhoods…or settings…are looked down upon by police. Police are not proactive…they are not interested in preventing crime.

People in wealthy neighborhoods…or settings…not only obtain the best policing from the police, but they can afford their own security details.

The shrinking middle class are either for the rights that they have via the Constitution…or they are blind idiots who think that criminals obey so-called gun control laws. The policing that such areas receive is fair. However, the police are more adept at showing up at crime scene than preventing it…so take care of oneself, people.

  37. 37

Perez needs to just shut the fuck up and report on Lady Gaga taking a caca and leave the politics out. Lame.

  38. 38

Re: Hales156 – But whats to stop a mentally unstable person driving into a busy crowd at 70mph??? But we don't ban all cars off the road do we? You can't legislate or predict that kind of event or behaviour.

  39. EmPem says – reply to this

    39

It is really pathetic the way Americans go on and on about their "rights" to have firearms. You people have the highest rate of gun violence in the world, you have multiple examples of mentally ill people killing masses of people at schools, supermarkets etc for this very reason and small children accidentally killing themselves or others yet no other country seems to have these problems on that enormous scale. The rest of the world is laughing at you for not seeing the very evident correlation.

  40. 40

ur name should be dumb dumb pereZ

  41. 41

Re: EmPem – HAAAAA!! You really have not looked at the statistics correctly. You are leaving out a number of different demographics that you must be too chicken shit to mention. Maybe the most ridiculous comment of the year.

  42. 42

If I lived in an are that had high crime I would definitely be carrying a weapon. You have the right to defend yourself and your family against attacks. I would not be burdened by guilt over shooting an asshole that was going to kill me or my family but I would never forgive myself for letting something happen to my family when I could have done something to prevent it.

  43. 43

Re: EmPem – Im guessing you are from the other side of the pond. Tell the Queen we will stick the Iron cross on her crown of king solomon directly up her fat ass. Come and claim them!!! We are not Europe or the UK. But FYI, I DO find it fascinating that a European front company called 'Cerebus' that is run by George Soros, has been trying to buy up (successfully) the ammunition companies throughout the United States for the last ten years. Can you say 'New World Order'? Can you say Anglo-American Royal psychopathic empire? 1776.

  44. EmPem says – reply to this

    44

I am having a wonderful laugh at how very well you have proven how stupid and entirely lacking eloquence some of you Americans are! Additionally, you also assume that because I speak English I am automatically English (which I am not) so I do not feel offended in the slightest if that was your aim.

  45. 45

Re: EmPem – Well then please come at me or others with something more tangible in reference to 'the Americans' you speak of. Now if you were to challenge the American 'Entertainment industry' or the 'media', that is surely the way to my heart. Your 'SS' uniform is at the dry cleaners, I left $20 on the night stand.

  46. 46

Sorry Perez. I love you but I disagree with you and feel Ted is right on this one.

  47. 47

Love this man; he is more reasonable and wiser than most!!!!!!!!

  48. 48

It pains me to side with Ted Nugent on anything but I will never give up my guns…I hope to never have to use them.

  49. 49

Yup, gun control will totally keep criminals from getting guns. Just like narcotic control has kept junkie from getting drugs, right?

  50. 50

Huh, this is so fascinating to me. I'm from Canada and can't even begin to understand the desire to want to own a gun. I hate them with a passion.
However, I can understand that banning them will only fuel an even larger black market in the States (not to mention fuel the drug cartel in Mexico) and most likely increase their violent crime rate, so I'm not sure what the 'solution' is. I definately think it should be a lot harder to have access to one and there should be more regulation on the types of guns and amount you should be able to own.
Right now, people are abusing their 'right to the 2nd amendment". Guns are wayyyyy too easy to have access to for kids, locks aren't being put on

  51. 51

Re: Bunnyness – Narcotics is a Billion dollar business provided by your government. Apples and Oranges, guns and weapons would be a business as well, but no where near the scale of profit from drugs and narcotics. Think please.

  52. 52

Uncle Ted is right. I don't own a gun, but was raised around them and taught when and how to fire them. The minute the Feds try to enforce gun control I'll become a card carrying member of the NRA. If it comes down, the only people that will have guns are the criminals AND the government. And, then, we all should be very afraid. The reason we have the right to arm ourselves is our Founders knew the power of the government against an unarmed people. The way our government is treating law-abiding citizens right now should put them to SHAME. Go ahead people … you've given away most of your rights and mine … soon we'll be another Police State. Me? I stand with Ted.

  53. 53

Re: Noah Doubt – Soros is a front man for the Rothschilds.

  54. 54

    Madness…Horrible, violent, aggressive man.

  55. 55

Re: EmPem – I realize we do not know where you are from but since you are laughing at Americans for such high crime rates due to gun violence then please let me point out that the UNITED NATIONS deemed Scotland the most violent country in the developed world, with people three times more likely to be assaulted than in America. Let's not also forget to mention that they have a higher stabbing rate then here in America… ban knives then? I doubt it. All this information and yet us Americans are the violent heathens that Europe laughs at…. whatever.

  56. 56

Gun advocates need to re-read the 2nd amendment, you the part BEFORE where it says "the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." It says: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." It was written and passed at the time when the newly-created United States of America didn't have a standing army, and wanted to allow citizens who owned weapons to be able to be called up to a temporary army should there need be one. Since the US has the biggest and one of the most powerful armies on the face of the earth, this amendment is outdated. And this idea that everyone should be armed won't make the country a safer place is silly - statistics show that guns in peoples' homes are more likely to kill or harm someone they know rather than an intruder or possible attacker. And where are people getting this ridiculous idea that places with no gun control laws are SAFER??? This is beyond stupid: just look at deaths by guns per capita in Canada, the UK, Germany, Japan, Australia, etc. They're not only lower, but SIGNIFICANTLY lower. Put away your guns and stop being so god damned afraid of everything around you. It makes you look like a stupid redneck.

  57. 57

Re: asmith3391 – Not when YOUR government can ask YOUR military to fire on the people, conduct searches, and carry out 100 other brand new executive orders that are based on 9-11 'terrorism'. You need to read the executive orders created under Bush and now Obama. We are going towards a marshall law state of affairs and as the wars get larger and news ones begin, we will need MORE American troops. They are training Canadian and Mexican troops as we speak and breath, to patrol the streets of America in the future, alongside foreign troops being trained abroad. A dictatorship is beginning again, but this time in America along the likes of Mussolini and the Nazis.

Ted grew up with guns, and as such is a responsible gun owner. Ted likes hunting. Ted has the right to his opinion.

  62. 62

Anyone who hunts down innocent animals in the wild for fun is a coward, tiz is Ted Nugent to a tee.

  63. 63

Re: asmith3391 – I think you need to re-read the amendment yourself since it wasn't meant for just back then it also means to ensure and secure a FREE STATE and shall not be infringed upon… in other words to protect us from the government then AND now.

  64. 64

perez, you don't know jack shit about politics/the economy/gun control …the only thing you "know" is what you hear from other sources. shut your ignorant ass up, stop disagreeing for the hell of it

Way to go Mario. Spoken like a true victim!

  66. 66

    Re: berrybaby

I AM a huge gun lover, and guns make me nervous as well, just like my new chainsaw makes me nervous… I hope to make use of the latter in real world activities (beyond practicing), but then again, if I wasn't nervous about powerful tools, I might cause an accident…. I'd like to avoid gun and chainsaw accidents, but that's just me…

  67. 67

    Re: AimeeBee

What about VT and NH?? A person in VT can walk into a gun shop, put their money on the counter put the gun in their pocket and walk out of the store. In NH, they can buy a holster and openly carrying, walk out of the store…. Violent crime in VT/NH is virtually non-existent.
DC and Chicago, both with super strict gun law, both top the murder rates… until DC Heller was decided, then somehow, violent crime dropped 30+ percent overnight… but keep thinking control works…

  68. 68

    Re: EmPem

It's actually a natural right, to defend yourself… laugh as much as you want… or at least, as much as your authorities allow… If gun violence was triple what it was (and it's minimal, that's why these things make news, rather than the thousands that die by motor vehicle at a rate that makes gun violence trivial) I'd still defend my creator given (I don't care to argue what that "creator" may be, but whatever it is, that I exist gives me the right) right and I couldn't care less what the rest of the world thinks….

  69. 69

    Re: asmith3391

As a non-stupid, non-redneck, I would have expected you to know that "the Militia", consists of EVERY citizen. You do know that, right?

And of course, you'd know that "well-regulated" is the same thing as saying "well-trained, specifically in martial (military) skills"… because "regulated" the way it is used today (as in to imply restriction or oversight) was NOT used that way in 1789. Of course, you'd certainly realize how "regulated" and the term for a full-time soldier "regular" are related.

So "a well-regulated militia" IS just one way of saying "a citizenry that is knowledgable and can practice the skills of arms and tactics, specifically how to use a gun if they ever need to." It means nothing else but that, and if you want to get into semantics, I'm fully ready to show evidence to prove "the people" means, all individuals, as it does in the fourth, a part of the first, etc. etc..

However, as you might call me a dumb redneck, maybe you should research this yourself. The founders' 2nd Amendment by Halbrook might help…

  70. 70

    Re: caravaggio the terrible
Uh, that is why we have a 2nd Amendment, to provide "the means of effectual resistence" to those sort of dictators, tyrants and criminals….

  71. 71

Re: PatHenry52 – My husband owns guns. I know how to shoot them but not well. And I really don't like handling them. It's not my thing. And since I'm not trained to use it I prefer not to. But in this day and age you need some security in your home. And yes chainsaw accidents make me nervous as well =) Mostly the guns that we own stay locked up nice and tight. .
