It's taken Sarah Michelle Gellar a long time to finally make her triumphant comeback to television and now that her new show has been picked up by The CW, the bosses are making sure that she doesn't go anywhere!
While her eight-year absence has been felt by everyone who loved her Buffy Summers alter-ego, audiences understood her decision to step back from the limelight when she had her baby, Charlotte. Actually, Sarah reveals that it was her 20-month-old baby girl that helped her decide to become attached to her new show, Ringer. Sarah reveals that since the show is chock-full of young parents, the producers have been nothing but accommodating in creating a environment where Sarah can be a TV star and a mom! She explains:
"As a mom, I decided it was something that was going to afford me the chance to do both…We’re a show of all young parents, and we’ve made it so that the babies feel just as welcome as we do. It’s really been a nice environment.”
Only one thing to say to that - FABOOSH! We're so pleased to hear the higher-ups recognized that making some personal concessions for Sarah and the cast was worth it to get her back on the air!
