"Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life. Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly."
Good! She totally deserves the recognition, because Bridesmaids was HIGHlarious AND smart!
Annie Mumolo has been given the opportunity to develop a project produced by Tagline, the company behind the amazing hit series Psych on USA! You know that's right!
We hear it was a pretty rich blind script deal, which is a big dream for a lot of writers!
Here's a little about this up-and-comer:
Mumolo, an alumni of the Los Angeles improv comedy troupe the Groundlings, is on quite a hot streak lately.
Bridesmaids, which she co-wrote with star Kristen Wiig, exceeded box-office expectations last weekend with a $26.2 million opening. The Universal comedy from superproducer Judd Apatow particularly impressed Hollywood with its ability to draw males to a female-centric pic. About a third of the film’s audience was made up of men.
Mumolo and Bridesmaids co-star Melissa McCarthy also recently sold a feature comedy pitch to Paramount that will act as a starring vehicle for McCarthy, with Lorne Michaels and John Goldwyn attached to produce.
Sounds like a lot of stuff to keep you busy, Annie! But if any of these projects are even half as good as Bridesmaids was, we know that you'll be extremely successful.
Congrats and we can't wait to see more from you!
Have U seen Bridesmaids yet??
