Jeff Conaway Taken A "Tenuous" Turn, According To Dr. Drew

So sad. We were so hoping for some good news.

On Friday evening, Dr. Drew tweeted out that his former Celebrity Rehab patient, Jeff Conaway, who was diagnosed with pneumonia earlier this week, was "stable" and was optimistic that Jeff would be better soon.

However, on Saturday, Dr. Drew's optimism seemed all but gone when he tweeted again, saying that Jeff had taken a turn for the worse. He told his followers that he had just visited with Jeff again and that the poor guy was in a very "tenuous" state that came on very "suddenly."

Poor thing!

Our best wishes and prayers continue to be with him in this most difficult time. We hope to have better news to share soon.

I surly can't be the only one who would be PISSED if my "doctor" was tweeting medical updates about me…

it's not his doctor, it's his former doctor who is visiting him as a friend…sad :(

This man is A doctor, and what he's doing sounds unethical and like a violation of Mr. Conaway's privacy rights.
    Is there no shame?

The Illuminati will murder him as well.

I thought Dr. Drew Fraudski's 12-step religious cult "Higher Power" was suppose to prevent this….

FINALLY an article to comment on, WHY do you always turn COMMENTS OFF on any kind of award show? I don't understand your point….

Has anyone truly benefited from being on his stupid rehab show? This guy's in a coma, Jason Davis got busted recently for heroin possession, Mary Carey's still doing porn, Rodney King's still a drunk and there's no way in hell Leif Garrett will ever get clean. That leaves Steven Adler, who may be the only one on point with his recovery. Honestly not so sure about the others…

    pneumonia ie…AIDS

  9. 9

Dr. Drew is immune to HIPPA?

Do any of his patients get better? "tenuous" new definition for being at deaths door.

Lets keep Jeff in our prayers, one of the more sincere cast memebers of the celebrity rehab series. and lets Thank Dr. Drew for his support once again.

Yeah, it was much better when Jeff's MANAGER was telling the media how he OD'd intentionally. I'd be pissed if my doctor refused to let people turn my illness into a freak show. Sadly, some of his former patients have passed away, is this Dr. Drew's fault? No more so than it is my fault for watching the show or the neighbor's fault for playing music loud and pissing him off. We can't even place 100% of the blame on Jeff. Yes, he "chooses" to abuse drugs. But you know what, that choice was pretty much taken away from him 50 years ago when he he had to endure all sorts of traumatic events. Each of us has a unique biological make up that makes us who we are. Some of us start off better than others right from our very first breath. It is an ongoing accumulation of every day happenings plus our genes, emotional state and biological make up that leads us to do what we do. If you want to blame anyone, blame the kids who tortured Jeff when he was a toddler, the people who sexually molested and exploited him as a child, blame the careless doctors who just kept prescribing him all kinds of medication even after they knew that he had a problem and could clearly see that Jeff was in desperate need of help. Or better yet, get rid of all that negativity and pray for a human being who was robbed of a decent chance of having a good life and pray that he will finally find peace. Be it in this life or the next.
