Sully On CBS

That's right! The dude who brought down a failing airplane into the Hudson River is joining CBS news as an aviation and safety expert!

That's fantastic, Sully Sullenberger totally deserves the recognition. And with his quick thinking and know how of how to bring a huge failing airplane down safely, we feel like he's probably the most qualified for this for sure!

Here's what his new family had to say:

Describing him as a "genuine hero," CBS News chairman and 60 Minutes executive producer Jeff Fager said the ex-pilot with nearly 20,000 hours of service will help viewers "better understand the stories involving safety and air travel that seem to pop up all the time."

"He is a remarkable person who has great ability to turn his significant experience into useful insights," he added, nothing that Sullenberger will provide analysis of aviation safety and contribute to CBS News broadcasts and platforms across the news division.

All we have to say about this is… Fab! Great news, Sully!

Congrats!

To have such composure and skill to land that plane, is such a wonderful story.
I greatly admire Sully and wish him, and his family, the very best.

I would even tune in to see Sully. I guess your ploy worked CBS.

    Hey CBS!
Next, why don't you try employing a real reporter, for a news anchor like, Jake Tapper, instead of all these Commie dunderheads?
You might even get ratings you only dream of.

Genius move! Capt. Sullenberger made a lot of people notice him even more a few months ago when he was a guest on Fox News– on the topic of unions and regulations– and very calmly but pointedly handed them their asses. Great TV.

I'll watch. This guy is an all-American treasure.

He is awesome.. I saw that plane in the Hudson. Not sure about profiting from this. Pilots are trained and meant to do this type of thing. Sully is a great pilot, however any pilot tbat has the same training would have done the same thing. He disappoints me if he is milking this incident.
