Sorry, Kate Bush! Adele Maintains That Number One Spot!

adele beats kate bush on uk album charts

It was a valiant effort, Kate!

Last week, it was looking like our Goddess Adele might lose the top spot on UK album charts for the first time in 15 weeks at the hands of Kate Bush and her new album Director's Cut.

As it turns out, Adele wasn't ready to give up her throne quite yet, and she's maintained her #1 spot for her 16th week in a row! Wowsa!

Kate Bush's Director's Cut came in 2nd place on UK album charts, sandwiched between Adele's 21 in first place, and her debut album 19 in third.

We're beginning to think that the only way Adele's 21 will lose its top spot is if Adele releases ANOTHER album that beats it! Ha!

Do U think Kate Bush will de-throne Adele THIS week? Or will 21 remain #1 forever???

I'm sure Born This Way will be number 1 for a week or 2, then back to this ever so popular Adele. Does she have a second single out yet?

kate bush is an an acquired taste, she was never mainstream…can't really compare the two.

You totally ripped-off your "New" lay-out from The Dirty.
    You're an unoriginal hack POS.
How's the view from floor bitch?

Always stirring up unnecessary competition. Flop.

Its not 15 weeks consecutively. The Foo Fighters were no 1 for a week. Adele has had 15 non consecutive weeks at number 1 in the UK. Lady Gaga will knock her off this week anyway. Her reign has ended. Good luck to both ladies. They are both great in their own way.

I love Kate Bush, but I do not like the new album at all. But I'm happy for her regardless.
