Fifty years! Damn! Such an accomplishment! But are the fellas really up for another world tour?
Let's ask Keith Richards!
Keith, while being interviewed about his new book and role in the new Pirates movie, hinted that the Rolling Stones could be cooking something up to commemorate the band's 50th anniversary of their first gig together. He teased:
"Something's blowing in the wind The idea's there. We kind of know we should do it, but nobody's put their finger on the moment yet. This is what we have to ask each other: Do we want to go out in a blaze of glory? We can, if Mick Jagger and Charlie Watts feel like I do, that we can still turn people on. We don't have to prove nothing anymore. I just love playing, and I miss the crowd."
That's…an amazing attitude!
If you guys really do it for the music - forget about the politics, the logistics, THE MONEY - and just do it for the love of each other and the fans, then you'd have one hell of a tour. You'd sell out stadiums with fans young and old, lifetime and new. It would seriously be a wondrous thing to behold, maybe the last time even that it could be possible.
We think its a stellar idea, guys! Do it! Do it!
