SPOILER ALERT! DON'T EVEN THINK YOU ARE GOING TO STOP US FROM TALKING ABOUT LAST NIGHT'S GLEE FINALE, SO IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW, MOVE ALONG!
Deep breath in….and out, okay! Time to get down to business!
Last night, the second season of Glee came to an end and while we were sort of disappointed with a lot of things that happened (or rather didn't happen), we're electing to live in the positive and share with you some of our favorite moments from the finale.
First of all, the next time we're in the Big Apple, we're inviting Lea Michele and Chris Colfer to come with us. No one does NYC quite like them! In some 48 hours, they managed to hit every major landmark, meet Patti LuPone (died!) and live out our biggest Broadway fantasy - singing Wicked on the Gershwin stage! Watching them duet on For Good (which U can watch above) was like traveling back in time to see Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth perform it on opening night. So much wonder in their eyes. So much hope in their performance. We're tearing up…give us a second.
Okay, and we're good. Now, the rest of the episode has probably already been spoiled for you by the wild rantings of Gleeks on Tumblr and Twitter, but here's a brief recap anyway:
The New Directions lost Nationals. Not a huge surprise there - they are underdogs after all - unless you consider the supposed reason why. Apparently, the show choir judges in New York are a bunch of prudes and didn't find Finn and Rachel's surprise kiss at the end of their duet as stupendous as the rest of the world undoubtedly did. So, McKinley's kids placed in 12th. Sad face…but there is always next season.
Also, Sam and Mercedes are officially Samcedes, (welcome to your new ship) Quinn cut her hair (such a diabolical plan, huh?) and Mr. Schue isn't going to Broadway after all (was his solo cheesy or what???). But our favorite moment of the show was the end, when Darren Criss' Blaine easily and lovingly looked over at Kurt Hummel and told him that he loved him…like he had said a million times before and will say it a million times again! We were as taken as Kurt was! WE LOVE THE BOYFRIENDS!!!!
And…that's all we got. Now, we'll just sit here in breathless anticipation for next season and just pray to the almighty Ryan Murphy that he finds a way to ensure that season 3 is not the last we'll see of the original cast!
Thoughts, Gleeks? Did the finale live up to all of UR expectations? What was UR fave performance? Will U be downloading My Cup?
