Pinball Museum Shuts Down

So sad to see you go, National Pinball Museum!

We didn't even know you existed until we heard about you shutting down, but we're sure these past five months since you opened have been a whirlwind of visitors and you've just been too busy to let us know personally that you were around.

The description of you is exactly how we pictured it as well:

The museum features 200 pinball machines, some of which visitors can play, as well as displays detailing the art and history of the game.

David Silverman, who put up $300,000 of his own money to help open the museum, tells The Washington Post he recently received a letter informing him he'll have to leave his third-floor space in Georgetown in mid-July.

A construction project is forcing him out!

NPM, we're heartbroken. But we're glad to hear you'll never give up. We support your will to survive! Those mall renovations that are making you leave are a bunch of bullshizz — stay strong!

LOLz, but really. If this is David's dream, we support him. Forcing him out like this isn't cool, and we hope he finds a new space for his museum!

AND we expect an invite to the grand re-opening!

I live in DC and that museum is in a dead mall. So many of the stores are empty or occupied by strange cheezy prom dress stores. I'm surprised the mall is kicking him out. He would be one of the few that pays them rent!
