It's Official! Orlando Bloom Is Returning To Middle Earth!!

Yes! Yes! Great casting news for The Hobbit!
Director Peter Jackson has JUST announced that Legolas, more importantly, Orlando Bloom is returning! The director wrote on his Facebook wall:
"Ten years ago, Orlando Bloom created an iconic character with his portrayal of Legolas. I'm excited to announce today that we'll be revisiting Middle Earth with him once more. I'm thrilled to be working with Orlando again. Funny thing is, I look older — and he doesn't! I guess that's why he makes such a wonderful elf."
That and his drop dead gorgeous appearance! LOLz! Just sayin'!
And yes, for all the die-hard Tolkein fans out there, Legolas ISN'T actually in the novel, but c'mon…he was one of the best characters in the Lord of the Rings series.
We think this is one of the few instances where Hollywood makes a GOOD addition to an adaptation.
Are U happy to hear that Orlando Bloom will be reprising his role as Legolas in The Hobbit?

One of the best characters in the series? You're kidding? all he did was state the obvious throughout the whole film. *horses jump around* Legolas: the orses are restless. Well no shit sherlock
I really like Orlando Bloom and thought he played Legolas very well, but I do not like that they are straying from the book. The LOTR movies were great adaptations bc they were faithful to the books. This pisses me off.
I love Legolas.
I'll go watch this movie, just to see him in that blonde wig again!!! It's the only time I've liked Orlando Bloom…
The reason he's being brought back is not just because of his name or that he was in the previous movies (although I'm sure that's a big part of it). In the novels, as I understand it, Legolas' father was in a major battle. His son, as an elf prince, would surely fight alongside his father. So while he's not named in the book, he would definitely be a part of that scene.
