The preliminary numbers are in for the sales of Lady GaGa's new album Born This Way and according to Hits Daily Double, GaGaloo's disc sold 1,110,420 copies!
That's definitely the biggest album debut in quite a while! The last album we can think of in recent memory to even come close was Taylor Swift's Speak Now which sold 1,047,000 copies in its first week last October…and we'd venture to say it's the BIGGEST release from an artist since NSYNC put out No Strings Attached! (Would've been nice if BTW had reached their first week number though! 2.42 million! Phew!)
We'll have more concrete numbers soon, but for now, let's just sit back and feel powerful, Little Monsters. We did this for our beloved GaGa. We've put her on top. And there is where she will stay!

The reviews were decidedly mixed. Metacritic shows the album got an overall score of 71 out of 100 from critics. Take a break gaga and come back with something actually innovative. I think you could if you could stop kissing your own ass long enough to focus on the music.
