And rightly so.
Doesn't the PTC (Parental Television Council) have anything better to do than this? Television channels have rigorous standards that all content has to pass before it's allowed to air, and that's the exact reason BET is giving as to why it won't take Rihanna's new video down.
They also could have said any other number of reasons, including, "you're overreacting," "change the channel if you don't like it," or "listen to the lyrics and you might understand."
Here's what BET said:
A rep for BET tells us the network refuses to pull the video — explaining, BET "has a comprehensive set of standards and guidelines that are applied to all of our content. The Rihanna 'Man Down' video complied with these guidelines and was approved for air."
Finally, somebody responds to the PTC with a logical response. We doubt it'll stop their campaign, though, which is a shame, because think of all the worth-while things they could get done with all that energy and time.
Congrats on hitting the top ten on BET, Rihanna! The people have spoken!
Also, we put the video up at the top again for those who haven't seen it and want to see how "controversial" it is.
Do U think they should take it down?
