Lily Allen Vs. Ryanair!

Hell hath no fury like a Lily Allen scorned!

The singer recently took to Twitter to express her distate with Ryanair when the airline charged her £40 for having to print out her boarding pass when she attempted to catch a flight to Belfast to launch her new clothing line!

She wrote:

Ryan Air have just charged me 40 quid to print out my boarding pass. Unbelievable.

Oh, and now they've taken it off of me. 40 pounds for a piece of paper that was mine for approx. 7 mins, wow….

Yeesh!

Granted, it DOES say right on the website that there is a fee for lost boarding passes, but £40?!

We have to agree, that's pretty excessive!

Guess you better read the fine print a little better next time, gurl!

That's how they make their money but why can't they just be upfront instead of pretending their flights are 99p?

Re: Black Swan – i agree. i've never had a decent experience with Ryanair- they're all about hidden costs, poor customer service and unnecessary delays. I'd rather pay more initially and fly with BA than end up paying the same higher amount for a flight that was meant to cost a fraction of the price.

I hate Ryanair. I have horror stories that would make your hair curl.

It's not a hidden cost, it's made quite plain when you book your flight that you must print out your boarding pass online and you'll be charged if you turn up with out it, you're even sent as much as 3 e-mails reminding you of the fact. I've travelled with ryan air 5 times since September, haven't had a bad experience yet (fingers crossed). I couldn't check in online in March and had to pay the £40, I made less of a fuss of it than Lily did and she probably has 10 times more the money that I do anyway.

It's effective in that she won't lose it again, but Ryanair is notorious for ripping the money from people's pockets. Didn't they charge fees for the onboard toilets for a while?

It's not hidden at all. They CLEARLY say you pay £40 to print your boarding pass at the airport. I've never had an issue with them and they're a great airline if you read their policies. I got return flights for £20 on Ryanair, because I read their policy and carried on my luggage.
Re: Voivode – No, they never charged for toilets. If you're not an idiot and read the multiple emails they send about boarding passes, it's a great airline.

When are you going to show Alfie Allen's big wang from Game of Thrones? THAT is a story.

  8. 8

problem being, it's these rich people that think they're special and shouldn't be charged b/c of who they are, that it doesn't matter if " THEY " loose their pass or ticket b/c " THEY"RE SPECIAL " you HAVE to make exceptions for them

No need to read the fine print- you're clearly told numerous times. All you have to do is print it at home and no need to pay, surely she has a PA lying around who could have taken care of it?! Lily has given Ryanair free publicity which they will love! Ryanair are great, you sign up for a no frills airline so thats what you get!

£40 for printing out a pass is indeed excessive. They charge this because they seem to get away with it, but this is not good P.R. whatsoever. Do they care? So much for the friendly skies and the customer comes first. Hose the customer when they've already bought the ticket to fly on your plane. Yikes. I'll avoid this outfit at all costs.

One question, why does Lilly Allen fly Ryanair? I mean, Ryanair… where the seats are so cramped you don't have knee room even if you are a short person. Is she really so cheap? If I was rich, I wouldn't fly Ryanair…

Re: Bevi – I was thinking the same thing when I read this! Why does someone like her take such a ghetto, cheap airline! I flew Ryanair twice when I studied abroad, but I'm no celebrity! Worst airline ever and I also got charged like 20 euros to print out my boarding pass! LIke how fucking absurd is that? 5 euros, fine, but 20! Ridiculous
