This Is Meredith Vieira Saying Goodbye To Today

This morning, The Today Show said a fond farewell to Meredith Vieira, who said her final "good morning" to her faithful audience just moments ago. Staring tomorrow, Ann Curry will sit alongside Matt Lauer as his new, trusted co-host and Meredith will take the next step in her career.

But five years is something to truly celebrate and the crew at Today did not let Meredith leave without giving her the biggest send-off imaginable. There were video tributes and fans in the plaza with signs up high reading "We'll miss you Meredith." But at the end of the show, the entire cast and crew marched through the NBC offices serenading Meredith with a joyous rendition of "Don't Stop Believing This Song Is Going Anywhere."

Meredith cried. Matt cried. Meredith's dog cried. Lots of emotions!

Such an emotional sendoff! I loved the Don't Stop Believin "sprint". It was great to see so many familiar faces for Meredith join in such as Hoda, Kathie Lee, Jimmy Fallon, and so on! You can tell NBC really appreciated her and they went all out to make sure that she knew that!

It was truly a lovely tribute to the "person" she is, so positive, genuine and fun.

Now we need to make a video about how much some of us dislike Ann Curry…I'm off to Good Morning America. Ms. Curry just seems so "saccharin" and seems to wear her heart on her sleeve.
