Presenting GHOST: The Musical!

Patrick Swayze would be so proud! (Or would he? U decide!)

The new trend on Broadway is converting hit 90s flicks into epic stage musicals with sweeping melodies and glittery costumes. The West End in London is set to debut the latest adaptation, GHOST: The Musical, on June 24th, but we've got a sneak peek at the production for you here.

It's … inneresting. A bit … flashy, maybe?

Check out the trailer (above) for yourself and see what we mean.

What do U think?

P.S. - Sam is played by Richard Fleeshman. HELL-O Richard Fleeshman!!!

    I am from Manchester, UK.
had its world premiere at the Manchester Opera House on 28 March 2011 and ran there until the 14 May 2011. I saw it twice and it's an AMAZING show

There's lots of special effects (holographics, lighting etc) that won't translate on screen.

It may look cheesy from the video, but believe me it isn't. It has past stars of UK TV, Popstars, West End/Broadway actors who've been in Wicked, We Will Rock You, Hair, Lion King, Blues Brothers, Hairspray and was directed by a Tony Award winner!

Do not judge by this film, GO AND SEE IT! You will NOT be disappointed

Plus Richard Fleeshman is supporting ELTON JOHN! Can't get much more approval than that!

Oh man. That did not look good. I will really not be going to see that!

This "new" trend of turning movies into musicals has been going on since the 1990s. Certainly, somebody can write something new and fresh! Ditto TV with all the reality junk and movies with all the comic books tales.

    No, no more please!

Saw this in the UK. It is the most amazing show. Because the script has been adapted by the writer of the film, Bruce Joel Ruben, it is beautifully written, with great understanding and sincerity. The music by Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard is tremendous and Matthew Warchus's direction is sublime. This is no 'eyes and teeth' musical but a beautiful play with music and extraordinary set (by Rob Howell) and special effects. A truly excellent cast and Richard Fleeshman and Caissie Levy as Sam and Molly are just perfect. Their chemistry is something to behold and together with their wonderful voices, a rare match to witness on any stage. The magical illusions would be difficult to describe but suffice it to say that Phil Kieve from the Harry Potter team of illusionists created the special effects. The audience is totally transported to a 'life beyond this life' and we 'suspend our disbelief' and believe…The trailer is superb but you have to see the show to appreciate just how amazing Ghost really is…

Actually it's Paul Kieve who has created the amazing illusions
