Jaycee Dugard Agrees To First TV Interview With Diane Sawyer

| Filed under: TV NewsSad Sad

Ugh. This is going to be a tough one to watch.

Jaycee Dugard, the brave young woman who was kidnapped at age 11 and held against her will for 18 years, has finally agreed to sit down for her first televised interview since she escaped her captors.

The interview is expected to air sometime in July, supposedly to coincide with the release of her memoir, and as ABC was the network to secure the interview, Diane Sawyer will be conducting it.

This poor girl has such a horrific life story to share. We can't even bear to think about what she's gone through in her lifetime. Hopefully, sharing her story will help her find some peace.

You'll be watching it Perez because you love stories like hers; we all know it. You'll eat it up with a spoon and want more. Telling her story isn't going to give her peace, you nitwit. Telling her story will help her sell books because there are too many people out there who want the gory details and because people like her want to cash in. It's a shame she had to go through what she went through, but I'm not one of the sickos (like you) who will wallow in it. No doubt you'll post the juiciest parts even as you claim you feel sooooooo sorry for her. You are a hypocritical piece of shit, Mario.

Leave the poor girl alone….like she really needs to go on national tv and relive everything all over again..

    Diane Sawyer Sucks donkey dick!

this may be theraputic if Jaycee really wants to do it and is not just knuckling under the pressure for interviews
Diane is classy and sensitive and will handle the interview with great consideration to what this brave young woman has gone through
you know this is one interview that Oprah and her people had been chasing after for a long time
that being said - just the info that I have gleaned from early on press reports when Jaycee was finally found tells me that I will not be watching and have no need for more details
knowing that she survived an unimaginabe living hell is sad enough and I wish her all of life's blessings even though nothing can make up for the nightmare and lost years

That's going to be harsh to watch. yikes. Poor girl. I'm still so pissed off at the people that thought that letting a rapist go (the first time) was acceptable. I hope they regret that for the rest of their lives!

This poor soul deserves whatever 'pot of gold' to support her and her kids, without financial worries.
    I will not watch.
Don't want that in my brain.
Casey Anthony crapola is all I can bear.
    Too sad for words.

gosh, I sure hope and pray that this severely traumatized young woman has healed enough to go through it all again thru the retelling oh her story. Where does her psychiatric team stand on this? I pray that this IS therapeutic for her and wish her all of life's blessings.

I'm honestly surprised that it took this long for the media to exploit this person and her tragedy.
