Wow - this is going to crazier than those blacked out bikinis they put on Elizabeth Berkley on the TV version of Showgirls!

After tattoo artist S. Victor Whitmill sued Warner Brothers over ripping off the usage the tribal face ink that he inscribed on Mike Tyson back in 2003 on Ed Helms' character in The Hangover, Part 2, the judge thankfully refused to block the movie's release.

However, in order to prevent anymore legal drama, the studio has now filed new docs asserting that the intend to go in and digitally alter the tattoo's design for the DVD release of the flick!

They claim:

"Warner Bros. does not intend to make any use of the allegedly infringing tattoo after the film ends its run in the theaters because Warner Bros. will digitally alter the film to substitute a different tattoo on Ed Helms’s face."

Wow! We imagine that is going to cost them a pretty penny!

But not as much as another potential lawsuit could have cost them, especially given their massive box office profits, so we suppose it's a win-win!

We wonder what the new design is going to look like though!

We suggest a Born This Way unicorn! LOLz!

What do U think?? Of what should Ed's new tat be?

They made enough money on that flick to redo his face about 50 million times. What they will do is write a new piece of code for exactly this type of situation and then patent and make 2 kazillion doing so.

However, they will then, after-the-fact, release the image that shows that it isn't original art work and then sue the SHIT out of the Tattoo "artist" for everything and his two testicles for filing a bogus lawsuit causing Warner x amount of dollars. YAY for the little guy. Fucking bastards.

this is so STUPID. If they alter the tattoo it looses all the fun factor. I mean, they get to meet Mike on the 1st movie and now he's left with his tattoo… IDK but I think when a tattoo artist inks SOMEBODY ELSE, he looses all power over that tattoo.. I mean is on somebody else's body!!

Screw you , Perez! You mean a "Blow" unicorn - since it's in Kesha's video, right, asswipe? Something else she stole…

Why does everything in your stupid little life revolve around Gaga?

i was gonna say, i thought the fact he got a face tattoo was in the storyline, so they couldnt take it out. silly they didnt to ask him if it was ok but so pathetic and lame he is fighting this. i would be so tickled if i were him, its hilarious and he was in the 1st one after all. its obvious he has no sense of humor about himself and deeply regrets that tattoo. ha i love the vh1 showgirl bras that shake. my recommendation? replace it with a tattoo of Evander Holyfield.

i retract my last comment. just read it was the artist who was upset? hahaha its a tribal tattoo, kids draw these everyday by just doodling on accident. he should be honored, but i guess i understand, it is his art, but then, could he sue for his "art" being seen in the 1st one when people saw mike tysons face?

    are u fucking kidding me?

I don't know why that tattoo artist is being such a dick! The asshole just wants to make some money. The movie won't be the same if they digitally alter it because then they will have to redo that entire scene with Mike Tyson in the movie when he talks about the tattoo

If the artist has a legal copyright then he has a legal copyright. I'm just curious about how they'll change the tattoo but not change the script. Its going to be kind of dumb with the cast talking about how he has a Tyson tattoo if it doesn't look like one.

This is sooo stupid, Mike Tyson has already given them permission to use the tattoo. Whats the point in changing it on the dvd when most people have already seen the film in the cinema.

its not even funny to bring lady gagas bullshit into the hangover

Wow. So people can't have the same tattoos? I don't see how this lawsuit held up in court.
