But times have changed, and William and Kate Middleton's child will be announced a bit differently- via Twitter!
According to Now Magazine, the news of the royal baby's birth will be posted immediately to the Clarence House website, which will automatically tweet the story!
But the Palace wants everyone to know, they are NOT planning on bucking tradition. They officially stated:

This society is sad. Why do we insist on looking to youth for entertainment. We keep getting younger and younger in entertainment. What the hell can we be taut from 16 year olds, never mind 6 year olds. This baby and the Smith's annoying kids should be in school, not in studios and movie sets. All these "parents" are trying to make money off their kids, truly sad. Give me an actual adult entertainer that writes music from their life lessons any day. Bieber is actually talented, not every parents kid is the next Bieber.
