Democrats Want To Recover From Weiner Scandal - But How?!

It's kind of hard to move past the problem when the problem just won't leave!

Yeah, we're talking to you, Weiner! Even though the President of The United States admitted he'd resign if he were in Weiner’s shoes, Rep. Anthony Weiner refuses to leave his post in Congress. Democrats are scrambling to figure out how to save face in the midst of this scandal, but they are left with very few options.

But let's get back to the President for a second. This morning, on The Today Show, President Obama went on the record to say that the congressman's actions were "highly inappropriate" and swore he would be reacting differently if he was in this type of scandal. He explained:

“I think he’s embarrassed himself. He’s acknowledged that. He’s embarrassed his wife and his family. Ultimately, there’s going to be a decision for him and his constituents. I can tell you that, if it was me, I would resign."

He might not have to make that decision to be honest. We hear that while Weiner has disappeared to seek treatment for "an undisclosed disorder at an undisclosed location," the House quickly approved a two-week leave of absence for him and today are meeting behind closed doors to discuss Weiner's future in congress. No doubt they are devising ways to force him out of office should he continue to ignore pleas to resign willingly.

Dude, just let it go. Your political career is over. No one is going to take you seriously ever again. Better to focus your energy on fixing your personal life, rather than your political one.

    The Dems need to show some balls and fire the guy. Force him to resign….without all the lifetime benefits. And the Dems need to let America see that they take this seriously. They lose all credibility to allow this jackass to hold his seat. Better yet, Obama should force him to resign rather than taking his wishy-washy stance on the issue. Obama, now more than ever, needs to show that he has a pair. He's not doing it…too much focus on his golf game.

    They can't force him to resign because he's done nothing illegal. and I wish the democrats would focus on healthcare and budget and equal rights for all rather than someone who shares semi-pornographic pictures online with consenting partners during his personal time.

    Re: Darvy – you're right you can't force him to resign but its amazing how low the morals and values of liberals have sunk. and, they really weren't 'consenting partners'. this guy reached out to them and sent unsolicited pictures of his peenis to them. it would be kind of like you walking down the street and some pervert opens his trench coat up and exposes himself to you.

    Re: XraySpex – when the republicans have a problem like this the guy resigns then goes in front of the camera to tell everyone why. a democrat is look squarely into the camera, maybe waggle his finger, get short with the reports, treat the public like they are children and lie his ass off, then lie again to cover it up, then lie again before finally telling a half truth. got to love guys like that in office.

It doesn't matter that he molests his own children and supports sex slave trading? It IS important because it's a sign of character. Weiner has mental issues, demonstrated by a fascination of taking epicures of himself. Would you trust this guy to baby sit your kids or spend time alone with your teenage daughter?     got to love how the dem's defend this pervert too : Joan Walsh on MSNBC said " you can't accuse him of hypocricy he's not a family values moralizer and you can't accuse him of breaking the law" i guess there is nothing about how his actions disgraced Congress and the United States and he isn't morally capable of leading our country.
