It's straddling the line of lame and cheesey but entertaining.

    "Fairies are nasty business!!!"
Did you get a cameo or something? A shout out?

I understand the need to be different from the book but it's getting a little to far off…….I don't remember the fairy world being scary or some weird magical fruit that holds peoples souls in the books……….

    zzzz boring.

Re: April 20th – That's because there is none, and I agree. I'm at the 7th book in the series, and she has yet to have any other powers than her telepathy (and the effects of vampire blood). There is also no goblins, or whatever these trolls are supposed to be, in the fairy world and no magical fruits. I love the series, it's very entertaining an well-written, and I'm very entertained by the tv-series as well, but I think they might be taking it too far with this. It's great that it's a little different, as I think we all appreciate them keeping Lafayette alive etc., I just hope this isn't as "far-fetched" as it seems. But Alan Ball is fantastic, so I guess I'll just have to trust him on this one.

Probably NOT Fairies, dumbass. Looks to me like they are competing Demon race to the Vamps, looking to cash in on the Fairies by luring them to that different plane with the promise of safety and light fruit. Everyone has seen this already — why keep posting it??

    Oh dear…..less hollywood PLEASE!

April 20 and Everything Popular- yall are right this clip is WAY different than the books. The fae's live in their own land as well as regular human Earth. They can travel back and forth its not a big deal. The vamps are friendly with some faes. In fact Eric is friendly with Sookies ACTUAL family - who the hell is this Earl guy? Niall is Sookies family. And Sookie (in the book) has no other power than telepathy and never through the last book indicates she'll gain any. She is a tiny bit fae and its really not a big deal. The telepathy isn't even from being a faery. Anywho there are goblins and evil faeries as well in the book but there is never anything random ass like this. The bad guys are clearly bad and few and far between. I wish the directors and writers of this show would stick a bit closer to the book cause this looks like some lame fan fiction crap going on here.

I've seen the first episode… and there is MUCH more to see. The first minutes are just the tip of the iceburg.

Re: Everything popular is wrong. – Goblin, Troll will come in the 11th book… And Fairies are bad guys, trust me ;)

Aaaand another series jumps the shark. Too bad! I had really enjoyed Season III.
What a waste of Rebecca Wisocky [sp?] as Queen Mab: loved her in 'Pollock'.

Epic, evocative of eating the fruit of the Garden of Eden, and Persephone not being able to return to the land of the living once eating of the fruit of the underworld. Rife with Mythology … Vampires, and Faeries and Witches Oh My! Loves it, can't wait!

This was a really disappointing preview… not what I was hoping for. Alan Ball is getting more and more out there with the plot, and not in a good way
