There's no way we could be this lucky... right?!
According to TMZ, the two legendary singers apparently spoke about how much sense it'd make for them to work together at some point, and as it's being reported now,

He just keeps talking about her, huh? To be fair, all these interviewers keep bringing her up, but we don't think we've read one article interviewing Justin Timberlake in the last month that he hasn't mentioned Britney Spears in. You know, he's had other girlfriends!
Oh, who are we kidding! It's JT and Brit-Brit 4 lyfe!!! Always and 4ever!!! Anyway, we like what he has to say in this interview about her. Justin sat down with Playboy for an extensive interview about his music career, his new movies coming out this summer and yes, a bit on Britney. He was asked to comment on the recent backlash she's been getting about her her dancing. Again, Justin tried to play it off like he didn't want to talk about her, but then he went ahead and did it anyway. He said:
I don’t have too much to say about her situation. I can’t remember the last conversation I had with her. But this thing that happens online bothers me—these anonymous commenters. People think they can say anything and it doesn’t matter to people. I’d love to see the people who comment about Britney online say those things to her face, because they couldn’t. Also, in Britney’s defense, if you pulled up a video I did from 2003, I couldn’t do the sh*t I did then either.
Boy, would we love to see you try though! We would love to see you do anything in music again. These movies you've got coming out sound great. Justified the Sequel sounds better!
Right?! Are we right?!
P.S. To all you NSYNC fans out there - sorry, it sounds like that ship has sailed, sunk and decayed. When asked if there was a scenario in which Justin would ever sing an NSYNC song again in public, he said:
"I don’t think so. It would have to be a really special scenario. I still talk to the guys occasionally. I probably talk to Joey [Fatone] and Chris [Kirkpatrick] more than J.C. [Chasez] and Lance [Bass]. I’d say I text back and forth with Joey once a month."
