Such a lovely end to a dramatastic story!
Yesterday, we made it clear that we believed Julie Taymor deserved to be at opening night of Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark, even if there is some bad blood between herself and the other show creators.
Sources were saying that she was expected to attend, and sure enough, Julie was at the show last night AND she even took pictures with some of the team including Bono and The Edge (above)!
Must have been nice for the Spider-Man team when they got a standing ovation at the end…even though the critics are still not into the show.
"We had to save Spider-Man because Spider-Man has to save New York."
And here's what Julie said to the crowd at the theatre:
"I just want to thank everybody especially this cast and this crew."
All's well that ends well for the Spider-Man team. Sure, the critics aren't loving this show, but it still sounds like they've come a looooong way since previews first started for this show, back in the late 1800's. LOLz!
Will U check out the revamped Spider-man musical?
