Scootch over, Brad Pitt! You've got company!

Things are finally coming together for the production of World War Z, the film adapted from the post-apocalyptic horror novel by Max Brooks. Paramount has just signed Matthew Fox and Ed Harris to star in the Marc Forster-directed flick that is slated to start shooting in the next few weeks.

Talk about down to the wire! Phew!

Any of U fans of this story? Who do U think Matt and Ed will play? Z-Z-Zombies, perhaps?!

Actually just finished this book (it's been around a while). It's more of a journal of interviews that the author conducts with people that were intergral to and survived the zombie apocalypse. It takes place a few years after things settle down and survivors across the world are regrouping and reestablishing somewhat normal life. No continuous characters except the author himself; all others are incidental and maybe get 2-3 short interviews (max) each. Am curious to see how Hollywood will spin it…

I don't usually read fiction books but this was fantastic because of how detailed and realistic the whole story was, and was on the fence when they said they were gonna make a film of it since what we've seen with history but am more excited now with what I heard about the screenplay and the very talented actors who are joining it, and the large budget at least hopes it won't be a cheap movie.
