Hmm. Do we smell a franchise brewing for Ben Affleck? Perhaps, perhap!

Warner Bros and Universal Pictures have optioned rights to mystery writer Harlan Coben’s thriller Tell No One. The studios have been waiting a long time to adapt one of Harlan's mystery novels and time has come to make it happen.

Ben has been asked to direct the film, which will go into production shortly after he finishes directing Warner Bros' other project, Argo. It's rare for studios to co-develop a picture like this, but the deal is Warner Bros will release the film domestically and Universal Pictures International will launch it worldwide.

Team effort! Woohoo!

We're not too familiar with Harlan Coben's work, but we have a feeling that given the strong desire to make one of his stories into a movie, there are plethora of novels to make more movies out of! Maybe this really is the start of something big for Affleck? Thoughts?

French director and actor Guillaume Canet, who is the boyfriend of Marion Cotillard, did an adaptation of this book. In french the movie's name is "Ne le dis a personne".

Ben has turned out to be a brilliant director. I have enjoyed every one of his movies. He sure did change his life around for the better once he left JHOLO. He's a great entertainer, producer, director, father and husband. Congrats and keep the good movies coming, there aren't many good movies out now.

I absolutely adore all of Harlan Coben's books. Every time I get done reading one, I feel like I just submitted to a mindscrew. It will be very interesting to see what Ben Affleck can do with this great novel. Scary though because there are so many details to pay attention to in these novels that I hope they don't skimp in the film adaptation. Either way, I recommend the writing entirely!

Tell No One is an awesome book! I've been waiting for a U.S. screen adaptation of this book for nearly 10 years!!! My bestie and I simultaneously read this book and we could not put it down!!

The French version was horrible and left out some pertinent parts of the book, so hopefully Ben does a better job!! I'm such a geek for being so excited about this
