If you're a Gleek, East Rutherford, NJ was where you wanted to be last night!!!
Some Perezilicious readers were in the audience of Glee Live! at the Izod Center last night and much to our delight, we learned from them that last night's performance was the concert chosen to be filmed for the Glee Live! 3D! movie! (So many exclamation points!!!!) As the flick is poised to be a big event for those who missed out on the tour, several special A-List guests joined the McKinley High New Directions for the taping!
At the show's opening, none other than Jane Lynch, Miss Sue Sylvester herself, paraded out to kick off the show in her iconic blue tracksuit gown! The crowd ROARED as she quipped about those damn Glee kids and heckled the audience for actually paying to see these "losers." She made another appearance mid-show to introduce Darren Criss and the Dalton Warblers, this time wearing just her usual track suit ensemble.
While Jane Lynch in the flesh was exciting, the audience damn near EXPLODED when out of nowhere, Gwyneth Paltrow appeared and performed her now famous Cee-Lo cover, Forget You. Apparently, she was fabulous, but more so, we hear she performed 100% LIVE!!! Amazing, right?!
Of course, the rest of the Glee kids delivered as well. Lea Michele resurrected her powerhouse performance of Don't Rain On My Parade for the occasion and there was a stunning routine done by Heather Morris of Britney Spear's Slave 4 U.
But don't just take our word for it! We've got the goods for you here! Check out the gallery below to see some EXCLUSIVE shots from the show and check out the video (above) to see Miz Gwyn send all of Jersey into a mad, Glee frenzy!
Oh what a night!
