Bond Director Calls Quantum Of Solace A Mess!

And it wasn't even his movie!

Casino Royale director, Martin Campbell, went on the attack against the James Bond reboot's sequel Quantum of Solace, calling it a "mess."

Directed by Marc Foster, Campbell criticized the movie, saying:

"Oh, I thought it was lousy. And hopefully this next one will be terrific. Sam Mendes is directing it and I’m sure it’ll be terrific.

I just thought the story was pretty uninteresting. I didn’t think the action was related to the characters. I just thought overall it was a bit of a mess really."

Wow, those are some fighting words for a movie that isn't even yours!

Granted, we are looking forward to Sam Mendes' vision of Bond, but still…harsh, much??

QoS was a boring piece of shit. I tried to watch it twice and fell asleep both times.

The director was Marc Forster, not Mark Foster. QoS is hardly boring, definitely not the best of the bunch. Before Martin Campbell speaks he should look at the garbage he has put on film….most recently Green Lantern(crap)…add to that The legend of Zorro(crap), Vertical Limit(crap), the list goes on…. sure paints a pretty picture but his character development is weak. Mark Forester is a far better director check IMDB for a long list of great films. Its not just the action shlock Campbell tends to choose.

I agree with Campbell, the movie was unwatchable. And that comment is coming from a serious Bond fan. I'm willing to lay some of the blame on the writers, too. That script was dull. Any good writer would have recognized that and fixed it.

I thought I was just being a bit slow for not getting it…
