It's not that surprising, but still a bit disappointing.
Sunday night, the 2011 Miss USA competition dominated the network competition by nabbing 7.25 million viewers and a 2.2 rating. That's a 57 percent increase from last year and the pageant hasn't seen those kind of numbers since 2005. Yay!
The same unfortunately could not be said for the Daytime Emmys. The two hour long ceremony brought in only 5.4 million viewers and plunged 27 percent from last year’s demo numbers. Whomp, whomp!
Looks like not even a stellar tribute to Oprah could save that sinking ship. Sad!
