Bam Margera Grieves At Ryan Dunn Crash Site

| Filed under: R.I.P.Bam MargeraSad SadPerezTV

After all the years they spent side-by-side, we can't begin to imagine what Bam's going through right now.

Check out the video (above) of Bam Margera struggling to keep himself together at the site of Ryan Dunn's fatal car crash.

Such an incredibly sad, tragic situation. Our thoughts are with you, Bam, and they also continue to go out to Ryan's family, friends, and peers.

Stay strong!

There is absolutely NO REASON that this video should have 1.) been recorded . 2.) been posted by the media. Talk about disrespec!!! Let the guy grieve in peace.

  2. 2

why the hell would someone sit there with a camera film someone who's obviously close to falling apart? cant he be allowed to grieve in peace?? R.I.P Ryan Dunn

  3. 3

Its a tragedy when ANYONE dies, but not to seem harsh or cold, i have no respect or sympathy for anyone that gets plowed and then steps into a 2 ton bullet and drives 130 mph. He lucky they are the only 2 her took out! My condolences to their families.

  4. 4

It is absolutely disgusting that this video is even up here. Have some CLASS PEREZ. This is the most tasteless thing I have ever seen. Finding amusement and entertainment out of someone grieving the loss of another person

  5. 5

I feel for Bam. NO MATTER WHAT THE CIRCUMSTANCE, losing a brother is the hardest thing in life. But I'm sure there are still going to be heartless people with no sympathy. RIP Ryan Dunn.

  6. 6

Really? It's hard for me to understand the sadness-its more like stupidity. He blew it. They made tons of money being idiots and he behaves like this in his personal life as well? Drinking and Driving Kills and a passenger was killed as well-makes me sick

  7. 7

you know what is far more insensitive than eberts comments could ever be? that effing video!!!! and the fact that you posted it here!!! people are grieving and you are trying to profit off it….really scum like behaviour…a new low has been reached here.

and if bam tipped people off about his going there, or if he did that all for show/publicity…thats really sick.

  8. 8

I think its absolutely disgusting that people actually videotape someone grieving! can you not just leave them in peace! its bad enough he just lost one of his bestfriends, but now when he's trying to deal with it he also has to deal with insensitive pricks filming him?

  9. 9

Come on now. These guys are in the limelight and have to expect to be papp'd on a daily basis, but what decent human being could ever think of filming such a personal, grief filled moment. No one needs to have their lowest moments taped and bastardised for the world to see and no one should have to. Hideous.

  10. 10

Say what you will about the Jackass guys or what they represent, but this video shows that these celebrities are people with real concerns, needs, grievances and trials. Though something could be said for the act of recording this private, intimate and grieving moment, seeing this sheds light on the pain and devastation wrought within individuals dealing with a loved one. This isn't just another Jackass getting his due for being irresponsible. This isn't a celebrity detached death. He is someone's father, someone's brother, someone's son and respective to this video someone's best friend. It teaches us to cherish the lives of our loved ones. Additionally you can also say that at least Ryan Dunn lived his life doing what he loved to do. When we go can we say that we lived to the fullest?

  11. 11

sad sad perez tv… oh god… can't you just let some things be private? Just because you CAN post these videos to make profit, doesn't mean you SHOULD.

  12. 12

Why would you post this? It was supposed to be a private moment and you fucking ruined it you douche bag.

  13. 13

This video is really unnecessary. Give him some fucking room. Let the man cry in peace.

  14. 14

I feel guilty for watching this. Seriously, his best friend died now we are all watching him suffer? Can't he suffer in peace? I understand their is a good possibility Dunn was drunk… he was driving at an alarming speed, but it does't change the fact that he was someone's son, friend and boyfriend. I feel horrible that Bam's pain is being publicized. Shame on you all who get humor or satisfaction of someone else's pain.

  15. Mtl23 says – reply to this

    15

What the fuck!!! Who would video tape that????????? Can't he grieve in peace? It is horrible that someone would do that to him. If your best friend just died would you want someone to video tape you??? I think you should take this down it is a total invasion of his privacy.

  16. 16

I agree, this video should not have been posted. It's a private time for the victims families and friends. But Perez, I am really annoyed with you that you aren't calling out his speeding at 135 MPH in a 55 MPH zone and the fact that he essentially murdered his friend. What about his friend? No RIP for his buddy or your-perez asshole hilton's condolences to his friend's family and friends? Whatever Perez, you're a walking contradiction. Next time you want to call out some other dumbass celebrity for speaking harshly about gays, call out this dumbass for drunk driving and speeding like he was Jeff Gordon and killing himself AND his buddy.

  17. 17

I think it is HORRIBLE someone would video tape grieving loved ones of someone who just died in such a tragic and unexpected way. Give the mourners some private time and personal respect. This is just sad in so many ways.

  18. 18

Yeah, TAKE THIS VIDEO DOWN…..No need to watch someone grieving. This sicks.

  19. 19

SHAME ON YOU for posting this. This is a private, terrible moment for Bam and the last thing needed is people seeing him at his most vulnerable. If you had any class, you would take this down.

  20. 20

That's really sad…..Why would anyone videotape this shit! …whomever did is a real sleezoid!

  21. 21

that this fucking video down! Show some god damn respect!

  22. ptay says – reply to this

    22

i dont get why he even did an interview. i think this was his friend and he is truly sad, but to do an interview seems odd, like attention seeking. i hope this is not the case and he just had a camera in his face and in his grief just spoke. just so odd to me to go to his death site so soon and speak to cameras tho. i dont know. Re: nverforgetsept11 – no i agree, my heart goes out to their families, but i feel as though drinking and driving and speeding are both reckless, whether he did one or the other or both, he was doing something illegal, dangerous, stupid, and selfish that could have killed an innocent person or ruined their life forever. its hard for me to have respect or feel sympathy too, but as the niece of a man killed by a drunk driver just walking home, perhaps i am more bias.

  23. 23

To post this video is just as bad as creating it. I recently lost my father and can't begin to imagine what a violation like this would have felt like.

  24. 24

Why wasn't this titled 'Bam Margera brings news crew to crash site'? Oh, because then you'd have to take him off the pedestal you've put him on while blaming Ebert for being offensive. How offensive is it to bring a news crew to your buddy's death site and then cry for the camera? Kim Kardashian would be proud of that fame-whoring, Bam.

  25. 25

You post this after posting a story about Ebert's insensitivity. You exploit Toddler's & Tiaras after posting about the Mom exploiting her child. Today's media is a joke, there are no boundaries. Newspapers post pictures of grieving family members at funerals all the time, it must be a course requirement in journalism school. You Hilton, are a joke, your Saturday night date/vacation buddy Momma must be fucking proud. Or maybe she has no conscience either.

  26. 26

perez hilton i like u and defend u when people say how u are a piece of s*it but this takes the cake… how dare u post this on ur page. not only is it ethically wrong it's a complete invasion of privacy.. how would u feel if someone put a tape of u grieveing not 4 days after your best friend died. theres a fine line and it's been crossed… TAKE THIS OFF.

  27. 27

No matter what anyone feels about the circumstances of the crash and decisions that led to it, this particular video should not be public. These people lost their friends and it's incredibly insensitive to the grieving process that someone would not only film him but make the video public. Granted, this all happened in a public place but we should all respect the fact that this should have been a private moment, not extending beyond the people who were present at the time. Media outlets should be ashamed of themselves, including you Perez.

  28. 28

this is the most hypocritical list of comments I HAVE EVER SEEN! Anyone who is moaning that it is insensitive why have you clicked on it and watched it! It clearly explains what the video is of and yes you all clicked to watch it. Perez wont post things if people dont want to watch it, thus why all you people watched it. Dont have a go at Perez, take a look at yourselves and why you decided to watch it before having a go at someone else

  29. 29

It makes my heart hurt that someone would tape this. When Bam is ready to publicly grieve he'll do so, he'll tape a statement or something, but the pain is too raw and too fresh, he's in the deepest pain and sorrow and of course someone had to go video it? For shame….. Please Perez, please take this down. Out of love and respect and all that's good in this world take it down.

  30. 30

Perez, I have always been a loyal fan and a die-hard supporter of the First Amendment. However, I am truly upset that you would post this video. The classiest thing to do in this case would have been to just write that you have seen the video, but decided not to post it out of Respect to Ryan Dunn's grieving family and friends. I pressed play assuming Bam Margera had given an interview or something, but this was not the case. Your choice to show this video was one of bad taste and offended not only the people closest to Ryan, but also your readers. We look to you to provide the behind-the-scenes information about our favorite celebrities, but we do that because we love them. To see a man in such pain being exploited by the paparazzi and, I'm sorry to say, by you as well is enough to turn me off of this site completely and to actively suggest my friends do the same. I hope you make right by this and remove the video.

    Sincerely,
A dedicated reader and Perez advocate since 2006.

  31. 31

The fact that someone filmed this is the sickest and cruelest thing I have ever seen in my life.

  32. auds says – reply to this

    32

It's messed up you'd post something like this. Even more messed up that some asshole had a video camera out where Bam was clearly distraught. I don't know what is wrong with people some days. Lets these people mourn in peace!

  33. 33

He's obvoiusly strong enough to notify the media so he can be recorded. What a fucking idiot.

  34. 34

Perez how could you even post this video. The tragedy is hard enough to read about, and then you post this?!?! How would you like it if that was your mom, and someone filmed you grieving???? Maybe think next time you even CONSIDER posting something like this!!!

  35. 35

No offense but if I were grieving a loss, I would NOT want a camera in my face. Whoever filmed this obviously has no class whatsoever. On a side note, this video made me cry .. just saying.

  36. 36

Trust me, Bam is happy for the attention. At least he'll have that.

  37. 37

Mario, you really really are a bottom feeder. Disgusting.

  38. 38

Ok seriously? It is not a good idea to record somthing like this. let alone post it..its completly inappropriate! I dont want to see this! Perez, take it down seriosuly..not cool :(

  39. 39

I could never watch something like this… it's so disrespectful to record something so private, it's even worse to post it online and the part that I really can't understand is writing something about sympathy for Bam underneath the video. There is obviously no concern for his feelings… it's just sad on so many levels.

  40. 40

I am not sure which disgusts me more, the fact that the video even exists, that you post it pretending to care (I hated you less when you at least weren't fake about being a bitch) or the assholes saying things like he deserved it, or Bam notified the media. The funny part is it is always the same few talking shit on every story (if you have 6,000+ comments, all talking shit, no wonder you aren't the least bit in touch with what goes on outside of your laptop. Believe it or not, there is a real world with real people with real feelings, and this is a perfect example of that. Not everything is staged for a story you sick fucks.

  41. 41

I just saw an interview of Bam online and I've never seen anything like it. The guy is bawling hysterically and can barely get the words out. It is one of the saddest things I have ever seen. I know what its like to lose a friend tragically and it hurts like nothing else. I just want to give Bam a big hug. I feel so bad for him and all of Ryan's friends. :(

  42. 42

Whoever taped this is a deplorable human being, Perez have some respect for the deceased! Posting this is a totally feckless and gauche act and you should be ashamed. RIP Dunn

  43. 43

this just in… his BAC was.196 …. check out dailylocal.com its the local paper out here.

  44. 44

Omgosh PEREZ…I can't believe you would even put this on your website…it's bad enough someone recorded it and the media paid for someone grieving…I can't believe you would be this DISRESPECTFUL and even have this on your website. I can't believe you! Honestly…so LOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RIP Ryann Dunn

  45. 45

Who gives a shit about some drug addled crackhead grieving for another alcohol-riddled dumbass? They made their money from being buffoons for the cameras. Death is no exception.

  46. 46

Re: Hairplugs for Hilton – I love everything you wrote! I agree with you 100%

  47. 47

I find it appalling and disgusting that you would post such a private and sensitive video on an entertainment blog. So disrespectful and grossly inappropriate that someone would film such a tragic moment of someone grieving. what an invasion of privacy and shame on you for posting it. classless and disgraceful. he is in public and i understand it is fair game, but you should have some respect man and make a executive decision to not post it.

  48. 48

Re: playupay – And his amazing producer of Jackass that was innocently in the car with him also…this SERIOUSLY NEEDS TAKEN DOWN THOUGH… YOU ARE A PRICK!!

  49. 49

Wow what an OSCAR WORTHY performance! Would have been more convincing had he BEEN ABLE TO SQUEEZE OUT A TEAR. Pppfftt. Attention whore.

  50. 50

Re: Rolling14reader – Wow! That was really well said. I agree with you 100%!

  51. 51

This is soooo sad but why would anyone disrespect him by filming this? it's sick!

  52. 52

It comes with being a celebrity. Look when Michael Jackson died - they showed LIVE VIDEO of the hospital. People are going to record, take pictures, and do whatever, WHENEVER regardless of the circumstances.

Should the person have taken a video? No. Should they have sold it to the media? No. Should Bam have given an interview? Probably not, but he's a big boy who can make his own decisions. It is completely disrespectful but it's part of being noticed by the media.

  53. 53

Wait a minute, i thought i was looking at the dunn crash site, not all the people who voted for Palin. lamoallmaoalmao man, i've never seen a bigger group of white trash rednecks in one spot in a looooong time. jajajajjaja

  54. 54

Really sad that so many people have been left distraught because of one person's stupid, careless actions. To be honest I'd be furious if someone filmed me having a breakdown so maybe you should delete this video.

  55. Heh says – reply to this

    55

Take this down man have a heart

  56. 56

I'm disgsted with myself that I even watched 10 seconds of this. Perez, this should be removed immediately and whoever filmed it is a sick motherfucker. Let a man grieve in peace.

    RIP Ryan Dunn

  57. 57

WHO THE FUCK CARES ABOUT THIS VIDEO BEING POSTED, YOU FUCKING MORONS? tHEY ARE CELEBRTITIES, IT'S PART OF THEIR LIFE. mAN, ONE PERSON POSTS ABOUT HOW UNCOOL IT IS TO POST A VIDEO AND THE REST OF YOU JUMP ON THE BANDWAGON LIKE A BUNCH OF FUCKING BRAIN DEAD ZOMBIES. PEREZ IS A FUCKING LOSER TOO, GRANTED, BUT THAT'S WHAT THIS SITE IS ALL ABOUT. trash and trashy ways,.

  58. 58

Alright, i'm kind of sick of most of these people here trying to put perez down
first off, its not like he really reads every single comment
second, if you don't like him so much find another website that gives you celebrity gossip and news
third, it's not like perez was the one who actually recorded this, clearly says that it's from NBC . so if you didnt find the video here, it would be in a different website
and you know what , i for one am glad i saw this video
i always liked dunn, i've seen all the jackass and viva la bam shows but his death really hit me when i saw this video, i actually cried.
i know noone can compare to what bam is feeling but i felt a little pain when i saw him mourning like this.
    rest in peace dunn .
    and feel better bam.

the rest of you go find something better to do .

  59. 59

Re: pollopicu – if you think Perez is trash then get the fuck off this site. people like you are dicks.

  60. 60

There's absolutely no reason for anyone to have filmed this. Bam looks absolutely heartbroken, why would anyone want that on video?! Poor guy, RIP Ryan

  61. 61

Stay strong Bam! So sorry for the loss of your friend!

  62. 62

Re: bigdiddy999 – We don't have to watch the video to know what it's about…

  63. ptay says – reply to this

    63

Re: Rolling14reader – he might have died doing what he loved, but he put the lives of innocent people at risk, going 130 miles an hour, possibly drunk, and yes, even tipsy driving is drunk driving. his actions are not to be glorified. yes, death is always sad, as he was someones friend, son, etc, but at 130 mph and possibly drunk, a car crash is barely an accident but a reality. i am sad for his loved ones, but not for him. i do not mourn for anyone selfish and reckless enough to endanger the lives of the innocent.

  64. 64

I don't see why everyone's panties are in such a bunch over this…you can't hear anything….and he is a celebrity in a public place; so get over it people.

  65. ptay says – reply to this

    65

Re: GreenEyes00 – perez is merely doing his job as a gossip columnist. relax. but let the man grieve in peace? maybe you should ask yourself why he even did an interview if he wanted to grieve in peace? why go to the scene of the crime the day after when you know there will be news cameras? he clearly did not want to grieve in peace.

  66. 66

This is an awful invasion of privacy. Take it down.

  67. ptay says – reply to this

    67

this just in from police at crash, he was twice the legal limit and going 130. yeah, what an idiot. no remorse for this idiot and ebert was dead on and should have never apologized. fuck drunk drivers. better they kill themselves then the innocent. the world is better off without them.

  68. 68

How many of you, that talks about how this shouldn't be taped, watched the video?! If something is beneath your standards, don't do it/watch it. I never have, and never will. This kind of grieving is personal and not for the world to see

  69. 69

I find it hypocritical to tell website owners, photographers, and videographers that this is disrespectful and rude. YOUR THE ONE WATCHING IT!!!!

  70. 70

I watched this vid this morning and I could not stop tearing up.. this is beyond tragic. So sensless!! My heart and prayers go out to everyone effected!

  71. 71

I'm truly sorry to hear that this had happened to anyone. I love watching Bam and Dunn… It won't be the same. But at the same time he has the money for a cab… reason to drive??? But truly feel sorry for anyone that has to experience any death whether it is family or friends…

  72. 72

Re: bigdiddy999 – SOME of us just posted on the comments page. Its not that hard to skip the video altogether…

  73. 73

Weird that the camera is capturing this…was this set up ahead of time….?Can anyone do anything without a camera? I am confused….Sad either way….When you desperately want to become a "star", this is what you get….intrusive paparazzi….that is the price you pay….I am sure Bam is aware of that…Losing someone who you love is devastating stuff….stuff one never really recovers…Peace for all.

  74. 74

I can't watch the video, it seems like something too personal to share with the world.
I already know how I'd be if I lost my best friend of 20 years - I would be shattered, no longer whole, and need the support of my family and friends.
Forget about the circumstances of the accident, remember that 2 people are no longer with us. Taken too soon

  75. 75

I couldn't even make it through this video, I felt too cruel and voyeuristic. That being said, it's nice to know that Bam has actual feelings. After watching him on tv all of those years I kinda suspected he was a sociopath.

  76. 76

    This breaks my heart.

  77. 77

    Take this down Perez. TACKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    This is absolutely uncalled for.

  78. 78

    Re: PuppaLuppa
You're being an insensitive asshole right now. You know what, men, best friends, boyfriends, and sons are dead right now. If you want to criticize him do it in your own head. People who are grieving don't need your smart-ass, pathetic, and over-all rude comments.

  79. 79

    Re: pollopicu
I honestly hope you lose your voice forever.

  80. 80

    Re: ptay
Yes, he was being foolish, but the passenger could have told him to slow down. They were both driving the same road they've probably driven hundreds of times in the same shape as they were that night. Right now is not the time for criticism.

  81. 81

It is absolutely distasteful to post this video, both on Perez's part and all other media outlets. Ryan's family and friends should be able to grieve in peace, without being filmed like it is some tv show

  82. 82

WTF taped this? And why would you post this? Let the poor guy grieve in peace.

  83. 83

Perez you should take this video off. Respect.

  84. 84

Now maybe the idiot will grow the fuck up.

  85. 85

I agree with the people sayin that this shouldnt have been shown!! but u cant blame Perez or his site for showing it, if its out there in the public domain its gonna be shown. It should never have been filmed in the first place!! These camera men have no respect for anyone or anything, Bam and the others should have been left in peace to visit the place where his best friend passed! Hes clearly upsett, the camera man out of respect should have walked away, but hes not gonna do that right?? Hes gonna make all the money he can out of it!! And as for the people stealing (yes Stealing) parts of the wreckage to sell on ebay, they need a serious slap!!! Makin money out of something like this is just wrong!!! There are some seriously warped sick people in this world!!
RIP Ryan and Zach……..My condolences to both their families and friends.

  86. 86

Perez, I love you and I love your site, but I really feel that this video sould not be posted. It's just too personal. I couldn't even bring myself to watch it. Please remove it.

  87. @v@ says – reply to this

    87

He was Bam's best friend. I would be absolutely devastated if I lost my best friend, regardless of the circumstances. Loss is loss, and Ryan certainly wasn't just defined by that terrible night. There but for the grace of God…

  88. 88

Re: bigdiddy999 – Who says everyone watched it? It's not hard to figure out what the video is about without viewing. Get off your high horse jackass.

  89. 89

I had a friend killed in just a horrible wreck as this. He was in the car and the girl was going 100 miles an hour and crashed into a sign. I still mourn him and grieve Tom daily. We have ALL did something reckless and just lucky we didn't get killed. RIP

  90. 90

This video should not exist! I think it's a complete lack of respect to video tape someone grieving like this. And Perez, you should be ashamed of yourself for even posting this! How dare you, this man lost his brother, and you're showing this to the world, is nothing sacred anymore?!?

  91. 91

Um, what many of you apparently are missing is that BAM BROUGHT THE TV CREW WITH HIM!! How is it insensitive when he arranged for an interview and to be filmed!? DUH

  92. 92

sorry to say this but bam is overdoing it because he knows he is being filmed. i wouldnt be suprised if it was someone from the jackass crew filming for some futur show

  93. 93

I have seen people grieve all my life for different reasons. I have lost people suddenly in an accident and slowly due to sickness. I know what grief looks like in its ugliest form. I do not doubt that Ryan Dunn's family and friends are in pain right now and I mean no disrespect to them at all. However, some people like to make every situation about themselves. Bam Margera may be heartbroken right now, but he is also one of those people. This crying bit on the news is some of the worst acting I have ever seen in my life and I think it's disgusting that A) he agreed to speak on camera like this and B) they agreed to film it. Think about it. In most instances like this, the victims' families and friends ask for respect and privacy to grieve. You didn't see Michelle Williams sobbing on the news as soon as the news broke about Heath Ledger! And to go directly to the site where you know cameras are likely to be?

This just has "fake" written all over it. Again, I don't doubt he's in pain, but I don't believe this reaction is genuine at all.

  94. 94

Notice how he keeps turning to make sure he's in line with the camera. #SO FAKE

  95. 95

TAKE IT DOWN AZZHOLE! HOW FUCKING DISRESPECTFUL OF THE DEAD AND THE GRIEVING..TAKE IT DOWN. MABYE SOMEDAY WHEN YOU HAVE DIED FROM HAMSTER UP THE ANUS FLU YR PEOPLE WILL GRIEVE FOR YOU ON TAPE ON A CREPPS WEBSITE,BUT UNTIL THEN..TAKE IT DOWN..SHOW SOME RESPECT..OH,WAIT MABYE GAY OLD MEN LIKE YRSELF HAVE NO RESPECT FOR THINGS THAT ARENT RAINBOW TINTED

  96. k-lee says – reply to this

    96

This is heartbreaking. But like what the other posters have pointed out, why did someone feel the need to film him while grieving? Creeper

  97. k-lee says – reply to this

    97

Re: Rolling14reader – hey, that is so true…

  98. 98

OMG My heart goes out to ur hurt Bam and to Ryan's family.

  99. 99

Pretty low perez. This is something very personal no matter who the person is you should not be showing this footage. How would you like your most intimate moments to be thrown out there for everyone to see. Bam and the rest should deserve some level of privacy at this time even if they are in the media spotlight

  100. 100

he's so fucking sad he called a news crew.
