Keith Olbermann Makes Rational And LOGICAL Statement Supporting Gay Marriage

| Filed under: Gay Gay GayInspirationBarack ObamaLGBT

Wow! Simply put…we're happy Keith Olbermann is back.

Call him "biased" or a "bleeding heart liberal" if you want to, but Keith's words supporting same-sex marriage have nothing to do with political party affiliation. Instead they are simply LOGICAL and spoken completely out of LOVE for his fellow citizen, whether they be gay, straight, black, white, yellow, green, purple, or blue.

Following President Barack Obama's speech at a Democratic fundraiser in New York, where he spoke about the SINGLE Republican vote which the state's future of same-sex marriage hinges upon, Keith delivered an intelligent, well-spoken and completely rational statement in support of the bill.

"Every year the margin by which this country supports this grows and within a decade or perhaps less it will be universal in this nation. Period. Ironically, it is not because there is great advocacy for it, but simply out of an inability of younger people in this country to do what older ones still can — to pretend this matters anymore. It just doesn't. It won't destroy the democracy, it doesn't destroy the family, it strengthens the institution of marriage in its principal premise of fidelity, and it increases the number of people living in stable and loving homes."

YES! Thank you Keith for speaking so frankly and honestly! This isn't propaganda people, it's just common civil rights sense!

Watch the excerpt above from Thursday night's Countdown, now airing on Current at 8pm, to see Keith LAY IT DOWN for anyone who can not wrap their head around same-sex marriage.

his statement has a point, we can still have hetero marriage, gay marriage is just an extra option.

Eventually this will be universally accepted and in law. Having this be such a polarized fucking news story is beyond me. This country is facing a depression (you think it was bad 2 years ago? Oh, just wait to see what's coming. You're all being too distracted by Lohan, Weinergate, Arnold and Gay marriage to pay attention to what's really going on that will affect all of us. And not in a good way. We're up shits creek without a paddle. Keep watching the bullshit. We're 2 inches away from bread lines. You're distracted by all this bullshit and "they" know it. Watch gas prices. They went down, but now as people get cozy and continue to watch all the train wrecks they inch the price right back up to 5 bucks a ounce. And none of you idiotic sheep have a CLUE as to whats really going on in the world. As someone once said, we've become "The uneducated, but highly entertained, country of people in the world". Good job, home team, good job.

I agree let-em be until a cure is found. I think once a cure is found for Down syndrome we will be close. Its just a different set of crossed wires.

For christ sakes..all marriage is, is a legal contract binding two people. It doesn't make you love you significant other any more or less. If thats what it takes for the gays to shut up about "equality" give it to them..still doesn't make you equal.

Oh, Olbermans words were fantastic. Well spoken and to the point. I couldn't agree more.

However, because the plutonic dynamic between a man and a man is completely different that a man and a woman, and when this is all legalized, there will be SO MUCH fraud committed for purposes like insurance it isn't even funny. Every college student with a roommate, and a job, will get married just for the benefits. It's going to get crazy. Funny, too. I love it.

So now, the door is opened to a third option.
If gay rights extend to state recognized marriage, thus the state is recognizing the marriage of TWO individuals, and then the new argument will be:
“Why are the rights of THREE individuals disregarded?”

Yep, I love Keith… MSNBC made a big mistake getting rid of him… they have a really boring "replacement" now, and I just chose to go to Current TV and watch him there. He's the best.

I’m ashamed that this is the environment my children and grandchildren will grow up in.
Political correctness everywhere, can’t say the word God in school, violence and crime everyday.
On top of all of this the economy is in shambles and good luck finding a job.
You Libs are going down on Nov '12. Enough already.

Obermann is not Rational. Oberman is not logical. Oberman is a radical and everything that comes out of his mouth get treated as suck. Him supporting gay marriage actually hurts the cuase

Re: luvs2tango – Your shame runs deep and thick; it's obvious and you deserve it.

  12. 12

Now we just need to get funding for the public schools to "EDUCATE OUR CHILDREN" about Fudgepacking and Carpet Munching. It's all about education.

  13. 13

How long before pastors will be prosecuted for ‘hate crimes’ if they continue to teach and preach that homosexuality is still sinful behavior?
    The lawyers are salivating already.
It's about the money, not gay equality
The govt is supposed to enforce the Constitution, not morality laws.

  14. 14

    GO KEITH! Love him :D

Re: luvs2tangoRe: luvs2tango – its so great that that we're slowly , too slowly unfortunately, getting rid of people like you. have fun in your pretend heaven.

  16. 16

Re: luvs2tango – the morality of your church is the only reason you're against it. why should we all follow your pretend man in the sky beliefs. you're welcome to that, and no one wants to take aware you're fragile grasp on life by believing in what you want. one would think you'd want others to have that same freedom.

  17. 17

Religious beliefs have nothing to do with marriage. Marriage had been around a lot longer then "jesus"…its a contract. Thats it. You don't have to be religious to think that homosexual behavior is wrong. I mean human anatomy proves that..otherwise if two guys had sex they could potentially get pregnant. They can't, so there you have it. Being gay is just a chemical imbalance. I don't give a rats ass if gays want to get married..they still won't be "equal"…ever.

  18. 18

Re: luvs2tango – The whole point of the constitution is to give people freedom or technically options. People should have the option to marry whomever they chose. Like you have the option of what store you want to shop at or what clothes you want to wear. It is as simle as that, stop making it complicated. Religion and the constitution are not suppose to go hand-in-hand but, to be seperate. The constitution was created to break away from Britain and the royals family's beliefs of how commoners should be treated. It's no different then christians judging others because of their beliefs. That is why they are to be considered seperately. But, of course conservatives always tie religion into everything. The bible says this and the bible says that. The bible should not control our lives. It is merely words on paper, nothing more. I don't get why this is such a big debate. Let them get married. What is it doing to you? Is it making your spot in heaven any less obtainable? You do you and let them do them. I will never understand why people feel the need to make others conform to their ideas. This is suppose to be a country of options but, it is more like country of religious limits.

Re: Heaven_Oblivion_Bliss – How does that prove that homosexuality is not right? Because a man can not get pregnant? What if I said that the reason a man can not get pregnant is because God wanted the population controlled? So that's why we have death and homosexuality? oh and killers… I just do not understand how you people think. You try to find little dumb a** things to prove that homosexuality is wrong. Oprah said something I thought was interesting. She said that homosexuality doesn't exist. She said there is no gays or lesbians. Just people who like what they like. You aren't forced into liking something, you just do. Why do you like what you like, because you just do. It was an attraction not a chemical unbalance. The brain is far more complexed then the bible saying how it is and should be. Learn to understand and interpret not judge and rdicule.

Hmmh…. what is shameful… is that Perez knows for a FACT that Obama is on the Down Low… in other words…. GAY. FACT All the homos on Chicago know Obama likes the peen. Why are you such a hypocrite Perez? Worried about equality, yet you refuse to out the man who has cheated on his wife for over a decade…. but she doesn't care.

Peres KNOWS that Obama is Gay and that's why the gays feel they have leverage to get their point across for whatever reason. They are blackmailing Obama behind the scenes because they have witnesses who are very familiar with Obama being on the Down Low.

Obama is Gay. FACT. He is on the Down Low and Mario knows it. Perez and the Gay community are blackmailing Obama behind the scenes because they have evidence of ObamA having sex with other men while married to Michelle. Yo, Perez ….. think about it… if you know Obama is a gay man living on the down low… so does spies all over the world… they know he gets his peen sucked by Reggie and they are just waiting for the opportune time to expose. So why not expose on your end first? You have the dirt… just expose Obama's cheating ways.
