How could this even happen?! Absolutely HOrrific!

A Russian woman mistaken for dead reportedly awoke at her own FUNERAL, and then died of a heart attack for real!

Apparently, Fagilyu Mukhametzyanov collapsed at home after suffering from chest pains, and somehow, was incorrectly declared deceased by doctors. According to her hubsand, Fagili, it was only during the funeral that she regained consciousness, and realized where she was, which prompted her to panic and start screaming!

Mukhametzyanov explains:

'Her eyes fluttered and we immediately rushed her back to the hospital but she only lived for another 12 minutes in intensive care before she died again, this time for good. I am very angry and want answers. She wasn’t dead when they said she was and they could have saved her.'

Meanwhile, hospital spokesman Minsalih Sahapov maintains:

'We are carrying out an investigation.'

We can't even imagine how traumatic and awful this whole ordeal must have been.

That poor woman!

And all of her loved ones!

Just devastating! And so bizarre!

Clearly, there are quite a few people with a whole lot of explaining to do, and we sincerely hope that this woman's husband is able to somehow find the strength to overcome this unfathomable, tragic error.

thats just sad…Further more the doctors are sad. They go to medical school for a reason, so they can tell if someone is dead or not. They just dont assume it from a hunch! Stupid bastards.

  2. 2

    hahahahaha!!!

  3. 3

This does not make any sense? How is this even possible? If she was at her own funeral, wouldn't she have had an autopsy and her body been prepared at the Morgue for the wake? This sounds made up to me. Would she have been dead from the body being prepared for the funeral?

  4. 4

Really Mario? You should be sued.

  5. 5

And you believe this story. Hard as it is to figure you are even stupider then I thought

  6. 6

Bull shit — an autopsy is done to people who die before the funeral happens—what's with the fake shit Perez? wtf!

  7. 7

this should never happen in this day and age with super sensitive medical equipment and becasue of embalming laws in a lot of places
    .
    HOWEVER..did ging when googling
    .
"Most branches of the Christian faith generally allow embalming. Some bodies within Eastern Orthodoxy profess an absolute ban against embalming except when required by law or other necessity, while others may discourage but do not prohibit it. In general the decision on embalming is one that is dictated by the personal preference of the family rather than a specific church policy "
    .
"Traditional Jewish law forbids embalming, and burial is to be done as soon as possible"
    .
"Muslims are required to be buried within 24 hours of death, if possible. Embalming is forbidden"

  8. 8

first of all autopsies are not always done unless theres reason to question the death, BUT they would have embalmed her!!! that doesn't make sense

  9. 9

Yeah, that story does seem a little unbelieveable to me. Also, who really dies from shock? Weird.

  10. 10

assume this isn't a photo of her coffin
because for this to be true it had to have happened in a small town or something in the middle of nowhere, where they don't have any doctors or medical personnel and the family assumed she was dead -did not detect the faintest pulse or brreath-maybe a coma???
I could see this happening years ago with uneducated peasants and maybe there are some remote areas where things still haven't really progressed at all

  11. 11

these national enquirer like posts are becoming ridiculous… you should really stop them!
this is supposed to be a site dedicated to celebrities isnt it?

  12. 12

searched on autopsy and found out that

"Many religions such as Judaism and Islam usually discourage the performing of autopsies on their adherents. Organizations such as Zaka in Israel and Misaskim in the USA generally guide families how to ensure that an unnecessary autopsy is not made."
    .
and in poor remote villages they probably don't do them
    .
my sister died in hospital from inflammatory breast cancer (go to ibc.org to learn about it-it's deadly) so that the cancer cells had spread to her kidneys, liver, bones, brain- she only spent the last 2 days of her life in hospital and they did ot do an autopsy on her-she died under doctors care for know causes so it wasn't nevessary and the family did not request one under the circumstances becaseu the cause of death was known and did not need to be determined

  13. 13

well, if this was, in fact, in Russia.

  14. 14

Out of pure curiosity I looked this up a bit further. And I call BULLSHIT.

    Why?

Because her name is a fucking AWESOME anagram. Perez you're a fucking idiot.

  15. 15

autoposies are not common. Don't live in the CSI world

  16. 16

I also think this isnt the USA. I've heard of this before

  17. 17

Don't you guys google? Just google her name. The story is everywhere, including the NYDailyNews. I really don't care for Perez but this is a true story.

  18. 18

    Re: *Sloane

First, my sincere apologies regarding your sister.

But if it's known and her condition was fatal there usually won't be an autopsy. In this womans case she falls to the floor unexpectedly. Here that would prompt an immediate autopsy, regardless of religion. It's the law. Have no idea what Russians do. But regardless, it's a hoax. I already checked it out myself. The anagram for her name is genius.

  19. 19

Do they not embalm their dead like we do? I guess they just put her in the casket, because if they did embalm her, her blood and organs would have been drained and pumped with embalming fluid.

  20. 20

Re: adg100 – I want the anagram for her name!!!

  21. 21

    Re: justkillingtime

So was the Balloon Boy story. It doesn't mean it's valid. And that, my friend, was in the United States.

It's a HOAX. Her name is an anagram spelling it out.

  22. 22

This could easily happen in a country such as Russia, where the standard practice is not to embalm or perform autopsy, unless it is requested or the cause of death is unknown. The medical care over there isn't up to par with most countries and they were probably relying on a pulse taken by hand, when she was declared dead. If someone has a faint pulse, it could easily be missed. The standards & practices in other countries are much different than they are here. Something like that could even happen here, if someone were a member of certain religions. There are religions out there where if someone dies of natural causes, a doctor who is a member of that faith would declare them dead. The doctor usually comes to the home to do it. These religions also do not believe in embalming and even over here, autopsies are not typically done unless the cause of death is unknown or one is requested. The woman the article is about could have had a heart attack or stroke and been in a semi-coma or something and then when she woke up, the shock could very well have caused her to have another one, which killed her.

  23. 23

Has anyone heard of embalming?! There is no way she could have been alive.

  24. 24

obv you know if someones dead or not !! Lol

  25. 25

Re: tailsi – I know right!? The Doctor(s) involved with her case should be fired.

  26. sonny says – reply to this

    26

That's universal health care for you. Just wait until Obamacare kicks in. They will declare a lot of people dead just to avoid the cost of treatment.

  27. 27

    Wow that's really messed up

  28. 28

Oh God, this is like my worst nightmare (if it's true). She could've been buried alive!!! And embalming is not common in all Western countries. I live in Belgium, and only about 10% of the people get embalmed. Poor woman…

  29. 29

    HAHA!!! is this for real?

  30. 30

ROFL if this is true than thats fucking hilarious

  31. 31

I call bullshit. Do they not embalm in Russia?

  32. 32

Re: sonny – Ya, that makes sense. Why would they want to get paid.

  33. 33

    I T I S A H O A X

    H E R N A M E I S AN ANAGRAM FOR SOMETHING ELSE. AND ITS HILARIOUS!

  34. 34

This shit is so unbelievable, I can't believe even YOU would post it, Perez. Pathetic.

  35. 35

    LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I CAN'T STOP!!!!!!!!

  36. 36

That is so creepy. Now ima have nightmares about my own funeral. :O

  37. 37

My religion requires burriel within 24 hrs. No embombing either.

  38. 38

haha that's funny but sad at the same time. doctors suck nowadays….

  39. 39

    THIS IS TRUE!!
    .
I should have googled the woman's name first- then I would have seen that she was attended to by a doctor..and wrongly declared dead - town called Kazan in Russia and the town has a hosital
    .
I would have thought it was a remote village with no doctors-would have made more sense to me–would hate to need a doctor in Kazan after this-would be nervous trusting them!!

  40. 40

No it's not. My mom dropped dead for NO reason and they refused an autoposy unless I wanted to pay for it and I couldn't afford it (it's really pricey like over a grand). I still to this day have no idea why my mom died. The doctor wrote some bs that she didn't even have.

The police said they would ONLY do any autopsy if they suspected foul play like a bullet. Ain't that lovely? And I live in a big city in the US of A

  41. 41

oh and no you don't have to be embalmed in the USA either. They highly recommend it if the body is going to be viewed or near noses.. (like a mausoleum). Washington State requires refrigeration if you don't do embalming and the body is hanging out over 24 hours

  42. Coqi says – reply to this

    42

I am in the US and my grandmother died last year. She requested what is called a "quick burial" in my state. No body viewing, no embalming and she was 101 so no need for an autopsy. Embalming is NOT law it is choice depending on the type of funeral you choose. So when you read such things, don't jump to conclusions based on CSI and TV.
    .
This is exactly why urban legends such as this spread so fast.

  43. 43

This is just "bull" If she wasn't dead she would be dead because her body would have been prepared for burial. As in her body would have only been a shell….no heart….no lungs…get it?

  44. 44

LOL. I bet god sent her straight to hell, that's why she had such a horrible death.

  45. 45

Re: Nelson – i was wondering the exact same things.

  46. Jules says – reply to this

    46

how in HELL is this even true? I can't believe it.. your funeral is at LEAST a day after you die… i mean to be unconsious that long? i need more proof.. this is NUTS.. i was at a funeral of a 26 year old last weekend, the thought of him waking up and coming alive at the funeral.. i think we all would've dropped dead of heart attacks

  47. 47

Her name is NOT an anagram. Autopsies are usually done when there are suspicious circumstances and/or the family requests it. In my area, autopies are $1500 and you have to pay in cash or cashier's check - they don't take plastic even. This could happen in a remote area of Russia. Some of the places are so behind. Up until a couple years ago, they were re-using needles.

  48. 48

Re: Nelson – No, she wouldn't have necessarily had to have had an autopsy. Those are usually only done under extreme circumstances, or when they are questioning the cause of death (especially in a country like Russia). But you are right about the morgue thing, her body should have been prepared for the wake! I think that there is even a certain chemical used during the embalming process that makes SURE that the body is dead. Hell, even the formaldehyde is put through the veins! From what I understand, it's not just some small injection, either, it's actually pumped through. How can she live past that alone?! This is just creepy on so many levels. Not only thinking of how she felt, but how the family felt, how the priest felt, and the funeral director. But more so, i'm thinking about how it's actually possible for her to live through all of the stuff that was done to her. Poor people!

  49. 49

How in the world? Don't bodies get drained of their blood and have specific organs removed before burial or cremation? This sounds fake lol.

  50. 50

    Re: Mikey112 – I agree.

  51. 51

The thing that is the worst about this story is the fact that a lot of so-called "doctors" bought their diplomas during the murky years of the 90-s and early 2000s, that they could easily pronounce her dead because they did not know better. However, it could have been an honest mistake, who knows?
A little education is always helpful. Please don't flaunt your ignorance, Google is always there for you!
I lived in Kazan for five years and it's a beautiful modern city, while at the same time very rich in history and tradition. And the people are amazing once you get to know them. Peace to all and hope nothing like this will ever happen to you!-)

  52. 52

    HOAX…this story is absolute BS.

  53. 53

Re: adg100 – omg plz tell me the anagram, im dying here. i need to know, plz! gimme a hint at least!

  54. 54

    THATS FUCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  55. 55

wtf really? How the fuck did they make that mistake??? I would of shit myself :O

  56. 56

you know now that i think of it.. how can that be possible? They take the blood out at the morgue and all that.. can't be right..

  57. IFY. says – reply to this

    57

This is not the first time something like this has happened! unbelievable

  58. 58

    Re: adg100 – What's the anagram?? I can't figure it out…so curious!

  59. 59

    Re: Sabbers10289
it's weirdly a true story -you can google it and see news agencies reportinng it
    so there is no anagram
and if someone spent hours trying to get one and did manage somehow
    it's just a coincidence!

  60. 60

To everyone saying the story is fake because she would have been embalmed, did you stop to think that this didn't happen in the USA? This happened in another country, I believe it was Russia! Not every country and/or religion embalms dead people!! Take Mexico for instance…. unless the family has a lot of money, they don't embalm the dead! That is why they have a law that people must be buried within 24 hours after death! This still does happen these days, just not in the USA!! Not to long ago, there was a premature baby in India who was declared dead and also awoke at his own funeral, only to die 10 days later!! Don't assume that what goes on in the United States is necessarily the rule in other countries!! We are only one country among many!

  61. 61

I can't believe that the doctor said that she was dead…..I mean they go to medical school for a reason….and that is to save people….mostly….and to know when somebody is dead or alive. THIS IS SOOOOOOOO BIZZARO!!!!

  62. 62

This commonly occurred before modern medicine; people being buried alive. Why do people in the US assume that burials around the world are identical? Some faiths adhere to burial within 24 hours of "death". Perez picked this up from Huffington or Drudge. It could be a hoax put the "real" media didn't treat it as so. The expression, "Saved by the bell" comes from safety coffins designed to allow people buried alive to ring a bell to indicate that they were still alive.

  63. 63

unbelivabl e, I am in shock what a sick story, what were they thinking of bad Dr,s.

  64. 64

Could someone please post the anagram for her name? It's driving me crazy and I can't figure it out. Thanks :) This is a really sad story!

  65. 65

bodies have all their organs removed before funerals… this is 100% fake

  66. alexd says – reply to this

    66

to everyone who says that bodies must be embalmed and all organs must be taken out- you're really dumb.
i am from russia and i never heard of such procedures until very recently living here in US. In many other countries, it is simply not done. I've witnessed russian deaths/funerals and nothing is done to their bodies except for a wash if the family members want to do it. You can bury your dead yourself at a local cemetery. The body doesnt get taken to a hospital or a morgue or anything. Now in Moscow or in rich families you can do whatevwer of course, but regular families and towns dont require all those procedures.
Every culture's burial procedures are very, very different. Don't be so ignorant peeps..

  67. 67

Idiots. This story is obviously a bunch of crap. When someone dies, they preform an autopsy, "preserve" the body with a bunch of chemicals and ect… there is NO WAY ANYONE would WAKE UP during their own funeral. This is called "common sense".

  68. 68

Re: alexd – OKAY then we're not the idiots, who would not "make sure" the body is actually deceased?? This story is BOGUS.

  69. 69

Of course this isn't true, and here's why: Because she wouldn't have gone through rigor and wouldn't have been COLD. Anyone involved with the funeral industry anywhere would have know something was wrong when her body was being prepared for viewing and it wasn't COLD. So forget about embalming and autopsies. Think about the temperature of a dead body. Think about the pallor. That's why this story is pure BS, and that's why Perez is stupid enough to have posted it … because he didn't think it through (he's too stupid to do that, and he's too lazy to check his facts).

  70. 70

I am sorry, but dont the embalm the bodies before a funeral? Sounds strange to me. But who knows what they do in other countries.

  71. 71

There's no way this is true..do people from that country NOT embalm their dead?

  72. 72

    That's freakin SCARY!!!

  73. 73

    Re: *Sloane
Thank you for posting this because after reading some of these comments, it seems that these readers are very "limited" in their knowledge of funerary practices, sheesh!

  74. 74

…This sounds like a plot from a movie or television show. If it is real, the I feel horrible for her and her family, cause that is sad and strange.
