Wow - we didn't even realize you could do this!
Cheryl Cole is reportedly so fed up with the paparazzi circus surrounding her life that she's taken out a court injunction that bans any photos from being taken of her at her home for the rest of the year!
Apparently, a notice has gone up around lampposts surrounding her Enfield home that read:
“Any person who knows of this order and disobeys this order will be in contempt of court and face imprisonment, fined and have their assets seized.”
And apparently, this could be a game changer for the celebrity world, as lawyer Ambi Stitham assesses:
“This is hugely significant as it will likely lead to many other celebrities following suit in applying for orders. It means that loyal fans who have camped out at concerts and such for hours and take a quick snap could be caught out by the terms of the order. This is likely to be criticized by the general public as these celebs will be happily posing at events expecting their photo to be taken, but are saying someone could go to jail for taking one at any other time.”
Understandable concerns, but we could certainly think of a few celebrities who would more than happily take legal action to ensure that they be left alone when out and about!
What do U think?? Should this sort of thing be allowed?
