Jersey Fights Back! Gays Of The Garden State File Lawsuit For Marriage Equality!

We feel a mighty fist pump coming on! We're so proud to hear people are doing all they can to get equality for all!

A New Jersey gay rights organization, along with seven same-sex couples and their children have announced they will file a suit in state Superior Court today demanding marriage equality for the gay citizens of the Garden State. They insist that their partnerships should be recognized as marriages, not civil unions, and be afforded every right a heterosexual couple has.

Jersey has been struggling the past year to get some marriage equality legislation to pass in the state, but with Gov. Chris Christie's ignorance standing in their way, there are very few options left open to them to make it work. It seems the courts are their last hope to marry under Christie's reign. Steven Goldstein, chairman of Garden State Equality, the gay rights organization that is the lead plaintiff in the suit explained:

"Gov. Christie says no way will there be marriage equality in New Jersey. And we say no way are we going to listen to him."

That's the spirit! No hurdle is too high! Fight the powers that be!

You have our support, NJ! Equality for all!

Yahoo!!! Take me along in the lawsuit. You see, me and Buster, my dog, are in a relationship. A gay, beastiality relationship and we are dying to get married. We've done all the right things, marched in gay pride parade, i've worn nothing but a pink tutu and Buster loves his crotchless chaps. He also paints his tail in rainbowed colors, he is so much fun. Sure, we get looks from people but we don't care I'll simply grab Buster in inappropriate places and kiss him even harder to show them! Awe, look at Buster know he want 'equality for all' so badly he has a huge red rocket. Signing out now, i have something that need to be buried…come hear Buster, want some peanut butter.

I applaud Gov. Christie for sticking to his values. There are too many that are putting forth the fear of man before the Fear of God. Nothing in the Bible says Homosexuals should marry. If they want to be together, get health benefits, etc that's fine but no definition of Marriage for the Homosexuals, let alone adopting kids. Talk about the child having issues in school… "These are my two dad's!"

Re: Wartiger – The Bible??? Do you REALLY follow the Bible word-for-word? Then why do you eat pork and seafood? Why do you shave if you're a man? Have you killed your disobedient child yet? The Bible says so. It also says shun menstruating women and that slaves are a good thing and slaves shouldn't complain that they're slaves. I could go on.

So point out one place, just one, where Jesus says anything against gays or gay marriage. You can't do it because it doesn't exists.

Religion is a sign of insanity.

JasonDiggy, The Bible makes no mention of any of the things you have mentioned, however, to answer your question on what The Bible says: Leviticus 18:22 identifies homosexual sex as an abomination, a detestable sin. Romans 1:26-27 declares homosexual desires and actions to be shameful, unnatural, lustful, and indecent. First Corinthians 6:9 states that homosexuals are unrighteous and will not inherit the kingdom of God. Since both homosexual desires and actions are condemned in the Bible, it is clear that homosexuals “marrying” is not God’s will, and would be, in fact, sinful.

You know what is funny Perez. I mean its hilarious. I rarely comment on this site anymore and just kind of spin through the headlines as everything you write here is already somewhere else.

When I was a more loyal reader and poster, there would be 50-500 posts on every single blog post you have. Now…maybe 6 or 10.

The site is a shell of what it used to be. Either there is a story about Lady Gaga or gay marriage or some other person who doesn't like gay marriage or hey how about gay marriage.

I'm glad not to comment here anymore, but felt it necessary to point out that its not only me, thousands have stopped commenting.

I hope this is the beginning of the death spiral of what this site has turned into, which is crap.

Re: POPSCIDICTATOR – I'm sick of the STR8 agenda: wife beating, cheating, child abuse, divorce, babies out of wedlock, abandoning children, etc.

You're lucky gays tolerate all the crap STR8s do.

Re: buck – Pfft! Christie for President? Are you fucking high? I don't understand why people instead of worrying about who others marry don't put this fucker on a diet. Shit he can barely walk!

Re: Wartiger – Wow! Another Bible thumper who doesn't even know what's in it.

No seafood (Leviticus 11:10 to 11:12)
    No pork (Leviticus 11)
    Don't shave (Leviticus 19:27)
    Kill disobedient children (Deuteronomy 21:18-21)
Shun menstruating women (Ezekiel 18:5 and other places)
Slaves are good (Leviticus 25:44-46 and other places)

YOUR quotes prove my point that Jesus said nothing about gays or gay marriage. You'd think if it was soooo important He'd have said something. Guess it wasn't.

So you're not a Christian, just an Old Testament believer.

Re: JasonDiggy – Got it. So you take it up the ass. Sorry, boo, but gay marriage will be over turned in NYC and it will never be legal in every state. Go tend to your current STD. LOLZ!!

  15. 15

Re: POPSCIDICTATOR – Go dump your unwanted children on some gov't agency or a foster family–who will probably be gay and have to take care of your rotten kids.

  16. 16

Re: POPSCIDICTATOR – Must be sad to be a boring STR8 who only has to look forward to popping out some unwanted brats, working at a lame job, then dying.

  17. 17

This man is beyond obnoxious. He must be miserable in that big fat no neck RepubliKKKan body.

Re: slite – So right, Slite. Well articulated!

  19. 19

Should have written the word BOO above the word ME!

  20. 20

Lulz, Mario acts like he is a champion of the gays yet he used the word f.a.g.g.o.t as an insult during a fight. Gays will never get the rights they deserve with walking stereotypes like Perez on the loose. BTW, nice botched hair transplant Mario.

Governor Christy or however the hell you spell his name is an asshole. It's rediculous that he would even say "in no way will there be marage equality". At first I didn't believe it, but then I actually looked it up on Youtube and he actually did say that. He should be ashamed of himself for even saying that. Everyone, no matter gay straight, bi-sexual or lesbian should all be equal. What an asshole he is! Glad I don't live in NJ and I'm glad he's not my governer.
