What a marvelous and unexpected surprise! We couldn't be happier for her!

Denise Richards is now the proud mother, again, to a baby girl. The ex of Charlie Sheen already has two daughters from their marriage, but decided to adopt another domestically. According to her rep, the little Richards girl's name is Eloise Joni Richards, after Denise's mom (Joni), and unanimous vote from Denise, Sami and Lola, her other two daughters, on Eloise.

Very pretty! She's going to fit right in!

As soon as the news broke, Denise took to her Twitter share her excitement with her fans. She said:

"Thank you all for your sweet messages. The girls and I are over the moon and so is my dad Grandpa Irv…xo"

Such a blessed day! Many congratulations to the entire fam for their newest addition! We can't wait to meet her!!!

    Aww that's great Denise! Congrats!

I couldn't stand this woman years ago but recently her actions have made me admire her strength and courage. Congrats to Denise and family.

I find it curious that couples with no children are waiting forever to adopt a child and Denise, a single mom with a crazy ex-husband, and 2 children of her own, now has adopted a baby
    .
    hardly seems fair
    .
but $$$$ can get you a lawyer who approaches someone (in an unfortunate circumtance) pregnant and arranges a private adoption
    .
courts need to seriously look at these privte adoptions where a lot of money is paid to the birth mother (claiming to be for her expenses) because it's akin to buying a baby which is illegal
    .
courts in each state (because not all states cost the same to live in) need to set a reasonable cap on the expenses of the expectant mom and that should be what she is paid–that would eliminate rich people basically "outbidding" everyone else for the babies that come up for adoption
and it would eliminate some greedy wackos who want to get pregnant just to ca$h in on adoption…repeatedly
    .
    just a suggestion

    Congrats Denise!

So Playboy Porno Stars with serious mental illness issues are allowed to adopt babies, but responsible gay men are restricted to developmentally challenged kids….

Re: April 20th – I'm still not so sure about her. This is the same woman who fought to have her kids on reality tv. I think she just made some good choices when Charlie started acting up - choices that may have been motivated primarily for self-promotion and image. This may be another way to stay in the spotlight. I hope I am wrong about her, but I am suspicious.

Re: *Sloane – she's giving a child a home and all you can do is bitch…………

people ’round here think I'm bad………

Congratulations to Denise, Sam, Lola and her father Irv. I always liked Denise. She seems like a really great mom. Very dedicated and attentive. Adoption is always a great thing and to hear she adopted from right here in the good USA makes it even better.

I think it's bullshit that celebrities can do things like this. It's great to adopt a child, but when we tried to do it, it would've taken us YEARS. She can just up and pay a bunch of money to someone and get a kid.

Re: April 20th – Come on it's a "baby girl"…if it had been a harder to adopt older child, I would see your point!

    Re: April 20th
just saying that I know personally 3 qualified professional couples (where the wife is able and willing to stay home to raise the child) who have been on the waiting list several years to get a US born baby between birth and two years old - male or female-no preference (not insinuating that Denise had a preference).
    .
They also can provide a loving stable home (assuming Denise can) where a child will have every advantage- including a father in the home, grandparents living near by, churches, synagogues, good schools near by, great pediatricians, healthy lifestyle, educated people who already have savings accounts in anticipation of the education of their future children (since they hope to be able to adopt more than one child if the opportunity arises–siblings or not)
    .
so when I see them- a stable, loving home (that I would have considered even myself fortunate to have been born into) still without a child it hardly seems fair does it
    .
not saying she can't give a child a good home-but so could may other childless couples who aren't celebs and have been patiently waiting and praying

Re: *Sloane – To be fair, none of us know how long she's been "waiting and praying" for this, maybe years. I'm sure she didn't just get up one morning last week & say "Oh I want to adopt a little girl" and POOF!

  13. 13

Re: calpurnia – "Waiting and praying"? She HAS 2 beautiful girls so I doubt she has the same angst as a childless couple hoping to adopt.

  14. 14

Re: *Sloane – I see where you are coming from and I do agree that adoption within the US does have it's absurdities, however, your entire first comment was nothing but negativity. If a woman has the morals of a rock and will give up her child because of a fat paycheck, why not give her the money so the child can be raised in a responsible and loving environment. That said, I feel terrible for those you know that can provide an American child with the home they need and want and because of the rules and regulations (or even money issues) they cannot do that. A child's life should not have a price tag attached……..

  15. 15

She is HOT. Sheen must be crazy!!!

  16. 16

Re: like!!!COLON!!! whatever! – Yes you're right of course. No one should be allowed to hope and pray for yet another child when they already have two. How thoughtless.

  17. 17

Re: April 20th – You took the words right out of my mouth. And may I add it's nice to see a celebrity adopt a child from her own country as well :)

  18. 18

Has anyone else noticed that these two little girls always look completely miserable?

  19. 19

Congrats That's wonderful. I hope this baby is happier than Sam and Lola. They always look so sad. I don't think I have ever see a picture of those girls where they look happy.

  20. @v@ says – reply to this

Re: crickets – Please, they live the life of Riley but with way more cash, and should be perfectly happy. They have a great mom, grandpa, a bushel of pets, & a loving home. Maybe they're *moody* like Charlie.

This was like the best thing I heard all this week. Happiness to them!
