Wonder if any of these possessions will go for nearly as much money as that Warhol Portrait…
Elizabeth Taylor's cherished possessions will be going up for auction during Christie's upcoming worldwide tour/auction in honor of the iconic woman.
Here's how chairman and president of Christie's Americas Marc Porter is describing the exhibition:
"[It will offer] a window into the world of a true icon, a rare woman who was at once an international film and fashion star, loving mother, successful businesswoman, and generous humanitarian."
"This collection of her many cherished possessions will bring us closer to the essence of Elizabeth Taylor's unique spirit, and promises to inspire admiration, delight, and at times, sheer wonder, in all who come to see it."
The tour will begin this September, and it will last for three months.
More than anything else, we're pleased to hear that some of the tour/auction's proceeds will go to the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS foundation, which Liz herself founded in 1993.
Very exciting! Sounds like WEALTHY Elizabeth Taylor fans will be in heaven this fall! Ha!
