U2 Is Selling The Claw(s) As Permanent Venue Structures!

U2 Claw For Sale

If that title doesn't really make sense to you, "The Claw" is what they called the alien-like 29,000-square-foot steel structure they used on their two year 360 tour! They have FOUR of them!

We think this is an amazing idea, for the very same reason as why they're selling them: to recycle!

Evans added that the U2 camp is "now in discussions to send them into different places around the world and have them installed as permanent venues. Some major events have shown interest in these, from four different continents — and we haven't even really put the word out yet."

What better use for incredible stages than to be used as permanent stages around the world instead of having them fall apart in storage somewhere or be thrown away??

It'll be interesting to see how much they sell them for, and how they'll look in their new homes!

Maybe we should get one and put it in our back yard for BBQs! Ha

Would U want one in your town??

To RECYCLE? Wow . . . denial + justification + rationalization = A-Holes. Question: how big of a environmental footprint was created in dragging this monstrosity around the globe for 2 YEARS???!!!??? Oh, but they're really "concerned" about the environment and want to recycle. God Bless Them. What wonderful people they are. They probably sleep like babies. They're great musicians - I will never take that away from them, but they are hypocrites of the highest order and egomaniacs. Seriously - thanks for contributing to global warming and F - U2!

AND the claw was driven around to each concert venue by 30 semi trucks because it was so huge. How's that for a carbon footprint? I was able to go to one of their make up tour dates in May and it was shocking to see 30 semi trucks parked at the venue, knowing they just carried the claw structure.
