Transformers Doubles Its Box Office Intake Since Yesterday

Shia Transformers 2011 Huge Box Office

Wow!

That movie about giant robots kicking the crap out of each other while Shia LeBeouf runs around with a model in 3D sure is doing well at the box office!

Like, really well.

It has taken in $64.7 million dollars so far! In just two days!

It's on track for $165 million domestically this weekend, and $350 million dollars world-wide! What the what! That's so much!

We hear that it's beautiful in 3D as well, so it's no surprise that it's making most of its money that way:

In North America, Dark of the Moon is earning the majority of its gross—or 60 percent –from 3D theaters, including 146 Imax locations, which have ponied up a strong $5 million. That’s welcome news for Hollywood, considering the recent downturn in 3D attendance, and comes after Paramount aggressively marketed the 3D element.

Congrats to those involved!

Will U be seeing this monstrosity of a flick this weekend??

  2. 2

forget the fucking robots, I'd watch it in 3D to see every detail of Shia's rugged good looks! I'm pretty excited to see him out of the franchise though!

and they're not selling tickets for 0.99 cents either!

I use to kinda like him until he started running that mouth again about Megan Fox.

    I just saw it…IT'S GREAT!

Shia = major league douche bag.

I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY YOU KEEP REPORTING THAT THIS MOVIE IS DOING GREAT! THE MOVIE PROJECTIONS ARE ACTUALLY LOWER THEN EXPECTED. THE 2ND TRANSFORMER MOVIE MADE 62 MILLION IN IT'S FIRST DAY!! THIS IS AN OKAY AMOUNT FOR A MOVIE LIKE THIS, BUT STOP REPORTING THIS LIKE IT IS SOME TYPE OF RECORD! I HATE HOW THIS SITE IS ALWAYS SO LOST ON STORIES.

Since i'm not going to have the opportunity to see Megan Fox halfway popping out of her shirt, I really don't think that i will be attending this flick. My girl crush has officially left the building. =/

Surprisingly the movie was fantastic in 3D. I didn't expect much, so I was pleasantly surprised.

Maybe Shia LeBeouf should learn to kiss and not tell. Not very gentleman-like of him to promote his new film like this.

I really think Megan Fox was on a break from Brian Austin Green when she had a fling with Shia. Evidently half of the PR campaign to promote the new Transformers film is about her and she is not even in it - it's kind of weird…

I knew it would do well. i saw it . I loved it. I think Harry Potter will do just as well but we'll see. Transformers ALL TH WAY BABY!! It ended well enough for there to be a 4th film sans Shia but hey that's more shirtless screen time for Fergie's husband!

dont think shia has any brains lately

Guess it helps to tell-all during the press tour…bravo!

Are they counting the weekend box office total for just the 3 day weekend, or for the holiday weekend? That's not fair if they count the whole holiday weekend, they should just count the 3 days.

I just saw Transformers in 3D and it was AMAZING. Definitely worth the extra money to see it in 3D. Go see it!

It was a great movie. Michael Bay is the go to director in Hollywood right now, you guys hating on him are only helping him out. Too bad Megan Fox is missing out on a piece of that 350 million dollar revenue. Haha

By the time Monday is over it will be close to half a billion dollars!
