carson daly talks voice season two

We've been keeping you up to date with all of The Voice news and now we have even more for you!

Fresh after Wednesday night's finale, show host Carson Daly has told reporters what changes the powerhouse singing competition has in store for season two.

On production:

[We're] expanding, but not too much. With success in network TV, often they overdo it once they’ve got a hit. They tend to just sort of whore it out, if you will. We’re going to have longer blind auditions. We only had 2 episodes of it this season and all of a sudden we were into the battle rounds. I think there will be at least four weeks of our blind auditions so that people can really sink their teeth into that discovery process.

On personality:

We hang our hat on the fact that our coaches are mentoring these artists and not judging them. The relationship between them was something that was really cool. I mean, Blake put Dia and Xenia on his private jet. In season two, you’ll set that relationship much more in depth and with a little more quality time than we got to do it in season one.

Like we told you before, all four judgesChristina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee-Lo Green and Blake Shelton — are coming back.

We're betting they'll get double the amount of auditioners too! This show is the ish!

I just LOVE this show. I like how fast paced it was and how quickly they went through the elimination process. I stopped watching Idol after a few seasons, bc it dragged on forever when Americans could clearly see those without talent would keep progressing week to week…lame. This show is cool bc they are already talented…there weren't any bad auditions and the coaches were so cool to see in action, doing what they do best each week…I could not believe all the performances!!!

You know, I like Carson. He's a cool guy…genuinely into music…I was surprised to see him hosting this show because I sort of see him as past the point of hosting since he has his own show, but it's cool. I personally think the feedback has to be a little more constructive - every time I watched, every judge said pretty much only positive things.I know they're mentoring, but it's boring if they're all going to tell the artists they did a great job.

The Voice will basically rip off the X Factor

I thought the show was good. I like it a lot better than Idol. The problem with American Idol is that they are obsessed with the little teenie bopper kids anymore and not concerned about developed music artists who know who they are like the Voice. I like the diversity of the show's platforms. The only complaint would maybe be the idiotic banter from Christina and her bad choices of clothing. I've been a big fan of her singing and music for years, but she really does act terrible on the show sometimes. They need to quit saying sexual things about the performers after they have sang their heart out. It's so awkward!

Awful. Xtina over-sings her protegees. I just watched part of the last two episodes. CeLo and Xtina are unlikable people. I won't be coming back to watch next season. Not that it will make any difference.
