Does that character REALLY have to be popping out of the screen at us? Yuck!

We previously announced that a new addition to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise was in the works, this time in 3D, and now, it appears that it will be coming as early as October 2012!

According to producer Carl Mazzocone:

"I'm excited to reconceive this iconic horror classic in a contemporary setting for a new generation of horror fans to enjoy. Both John Luessenhop and I intend to deliver a new chapter derived from Tobe Hooper's 1973 masterpiece with the goal of making it as horrifying as the original, in 3D."

Inneresting!

Especially because if all stays the same, this flick will be battling another reboot of a horror classic in 3D in the box office upon release - Halloween 3D!

We wonder which will butcher the original less! LOLz!

What do U think?? Which do U want to see more: Leatherface 3D or Halloween 3D??

The TCM remakes have both been great. The Halloween remakes both sucked.

Neither. The original was horrific and artful, in a way. Please, no more torture porn- it's disgusting.

Please no more chainsaw. Everytime it comes out I have the argument with my husband that NO, it's NOT a true story. It did NOT happen that way and it did NOT happen in Texas and that it's loosely based on Ed Gains and ideas Toby had when he walked through a home depot like store in the chainsaw section. Despite numerous inteviews I showed him he swears that it really DID happen in Texas and that his grandfather was there when it happened. *facepalm*. My husband unfortunatly is not the only Texan that believes this..

Dear Hollywood, please stop with the 3D I like my movies in 2D (that option is usually sold out as nobody likes 3D)
