Shia and Michael Bay might be out, but after the money Transformers: Dark of the Moon has made thus far, it's no secret that a fourth film is most likely in the works!

Although nothing is official, sources close to production have revealed that studio bosses are looking for a new male lead for the project gets a green light, and none other than Jason Statham, who's currently dating the franchise's latest addition, Rosie Huntington-Whitely, is at the top of the list!

The insider explains:

“One of the stars being mentioned is Rosie’s boyfriend Jason Statham. It’s clear the franchise still has huge potential but with a new leading man capable of taking Transformers in a new, darker direction. Jason could be just the man to do that and his relationship with Rosie would be an added bonus in marketing the movie.”

We actually think he wouldn't be a bad choice to breathe some much-needed life into this franchise!

The special effects and action sequences have certainly improved with each of these movies, but frankly, that's about it!

We say the more badass the protagonist, the better!

What do U think?? Do U think Jason would be good for Transformers??

AND THAT IS WHEN IT STOPS !!!!!!!!!
Transformer is what it is because of who was in it…..
Even the new girl DID NOT COMPARE TO MEAGAN FOX , Maybe in looks but sure as hell NOT in her acting…..
So go ahead and change someone else and see how that works out for YA ……

I agree, Rosie was NOT as good as Megan Fox and the latest movie suffered greatly from Megan's absence. Say what you will about her, Megan is magnetic on screen in all of the right ways. Her character was much more interesting as well, Rosie's character was too girly and "helpless damsel in distress" and the Transformers franchise really has no place for weak characters. Megan's character is much tougher and more active in the situation playing out. I don't really think they even gave that character enough recognition in this 3rd movie. I mean, really? They couldn't be bothered to hire a double for the still shots in the white house? Especially when they went to all of that trouble to have two different dudes that look nothing like JFK, playing JFK in the intrelude? Megan's character was almost as vital to the victories of the 1st and 2nd movies as Shia's. In the 3rd movie, Rosie's character really didn't do sh*t except 1 really awkwardly acted out "tell off" with Megatron at the end. We all know Megan would have owned that scene hard. I don't want to sound like a Rosie basher, she's a lovely girl and I get that she only had two weeks to prepare for this movie, and she has potential BUT an actor can only do as well as the material they are given to work with, and her character just flat out sucked in this movie, period.

All that being said Jason Statham would be an interesting choice, an older male lead in a youth dominated franchise could be refreshing for the older folks out there. And most of us young people like him and think he's a badass so I could definitely see it.

I think they should not do another movie without Shia. He's the perfect fit for Transformers so if he doesn't want to to another movie, then they should stop. And quite frankly, Rosie was not very good in the movie…I mean, Meghan Fox was helpfull as Mikaylla, she was helping Sam and her character had a point for the movie but Rosie's character Carly has no point at all! I mean, what else did she do in the movie other than show her ass and get kidnapped? I love Transformers's movie and if they do another one, I'll probably see it but it would not be the same without Shia…

I would love for Megan to come back (with Shia) for some kind of little scene! I like the Jason idea. And I like Rosie. But Shia and Megan ARE the transformers.

    WOW that would be G R E A T

Why would they want to replace Shia? Or even Michael Bay for that matter? The franchise is doing well, so why fix what ain't broke?

  8. 8

Jason Statham in the lead for a Transformers film is not a bad idea at all. If we slap it with an R rating and let Statham play Chev Chelios from "Crank", I think the franchise can be saved.

How about Jason and Meagan? I'd watch that.

Why change Shia ? I'm pretty sure i will not be watching anymore of them if they change him .. you can't just change the leading character in the 4th movie , it just doesn't makes sense. If you have both leads changed its like a whole different movie.

    Loose lips sink ships?

Transformers is a trilogy. That was announced when the first one was released, so there will be no "4th" edition to the trilogy…and to be honest the way TF3 ended they can't be a carry on - Perhaps a whole new TF movie is what htey are talking about.

well i wont be watching without shia
