William & Kate Are In For A Seedy Hollywood Surprise!

| Filed under: Royals RoyceKate Middleton

william and kate coming to skid row

Before the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge enter the glamorous side of Hollywood, they're first going to see what it's like on Skid Row.

Sound scary? It kinda is.

In downtown Los Angeles, Skid Row is the homeless capital with over 4,000 people crammed in a 50-square block area living in dirty tents and cardboard boxes.

Will & Kate don't need to worry about their safety. They will of course have the best of security around them at all times.

Why are they going? The loyal couple plans to visit the Row to paint and make ceramics for impoverished children at the Inner-City Arts academy.

Hmm, we wonder if they know what to expect. It's pretty crazy down there! Be careful guys!

I am sure the city will clean up the area and move some of the people out. I was there last week and its a sad site to see and very disturbing. I don't think people really know what the area is like at night. I hope every person there finds a way out and gets the help they need.

Perez, it's not "pretty crazy" down there, it's very sad. when you go to Skid Row and then you hear people say things like "America is the greatest country in the world" it just make you want to throw-up.

    ceramics and painting

Describing Skid Row as "pretty crazy" is grossly naive. Your perceptions are that of a 12 year old.

PEREZ…. SHAME ON YOU!!!!! Skid row is not scary and you shouldnt talk about those people like they are nothing! A lot of those people are just down and out, and a lot of them are new to our country and only there because they havent gotten on their feet yet! I'm sure your family was there at one point in the past as well. Sooo angry at the tone you took with this post. SOO ASHAMED OF YOU RIGHT NOW. Just because they are HOMELESS DOESNT MAKE THEM SCARY. Some have drug issues yes, but thats about 5% of the people down there. I cant even explain how angry I am right now with you!

They will also be visiting Beverly Hills, where the obscenely rich, drug addicted, alcoholic, wife beating, children raping, porno producing, beautiful plastic surgery addicted, breast enhanced and BOTOXED people live in huge homes….

Re: Austin TX – I'm pretty sure the city wont move them out jsut because Will and Kate are coming.

Re: Hairplugs for Hilton – I AGREE! SHAME ON PEREZ!

BILLION$ & BILLION$ in taxpayer funding is funneled into the POVERTY PIMP'S BANK ACCOUNTS in Skid-Row; they ain't ever going to end the homeless misery there….

I really hope and pray that retard Americans don't crowd around them screaming..They don't give two shits about America..they proved that by going to Canada.

    Re: califsummer2011

Ha of course they would! Every major event or concert that deals with tourism does it. They moved the drunken natives out during the Olympics in Vancouver. They did it for summer games in Alberta. Are you really that naive to think they won't relocate them for a few days while royalty visits? They HAVE to do that to ensure their security. Moron.

    Re: NookiesWA

You're a retard. Canada is a common wealth country that remains loyal to the the crown. This however has nothing to do with their appreciation for the US. If you don't recall both countries are still in Afghanistan and Iraq.

    Think before you type.

hes like his mother he cares about down and out actors and other losers they should get rid of these people in boxes

    only in america!!!

Re: TrannyTakesATumble2 – Get off the royals nuts..They are useless, even to their own country. They represent England just about as much as Miss USA represents the US…I love blind retards.

*Royals STEALS your tax dollars to live in a castle*
*People like you* "WOOOOOOOOO GOO ROYALS GOGOGO ZOMG *screams*

Euros treat royals like tweens treat Rob Pattinson. Pull your head out of your ass.

Re: NookiesWA – "euros treat royals like tweens treat Robert Pattinson"…actually no they don't…at all. Here in England the royals are never ever in the news or "celeb gossip" magazines, people respect their heritage etc but in no way think of royals like celebrities. From what i've seen it's actually the US going mad for them.
Also "they steal your tax dollars" A) I think you mean pounds and B) the royal family cost UK tax payers around 65p a year which come to around £40 million. However, land owned by the royals generates around £200 million a year, this money is given back to the state meaning tax payers actually pay £160 million less in taxes per year because of money generated by the royal family. That's before you even begin to think about their positive effect on tourism etc

Re: NookiesWA – Since when did a Miss USA winner join the military and go into active combat zones?

  17. 17

will be refreshing to see some ot the foul mothed Hollywood crowd actually have to talk civilized and free from the F@*K word for a change…
wonder if they can manage to do that..or do they lack the basic language skills and education to speak in an intelligent manner
are they all checking the online thesaurus for alternate words to use ;-)

Re: pinkbullet4 – My uncle was in Canada around the time of the wedding…He said he couldn't turn on the TV without hearing about it. It's not just an American thing.

  19. 19

    Re: NookiesWA
Canada is part of the British Commonwealth..as is Australia
    US is not
so of course they went to Canada first
don't get your nose out of joint there
    it's not a competetion
    it's common sense

  20. 20

Funny how you go on about others not treating you like a human because you are gay but you are dehumanising people because they are poor or homeless.

  21. 21

Re: AshleyDuh – yeah I know it's not just an American thing, I didnt say it was just America, I was just saying there isn't as big a hype here in Europe and Canada isnt in Europe so that's irrelevant

  22. 22

Re: califsummer2011 – I hope not. I think its important for people to see what it is really like. I think we are so involved in our own lives that we forget others. I am glad they are going.

  23. 23

It's not scary nor crazy, you shallow, ignorant bunch of fools. It's an extremely sad place with people that have no where else to turn.

  24. 24

It's interesting how you bash the ignorance of homophobia, yet turn around and use words to describe a very sad situation in the most ignorant way you possibly can. Disgusting.

it need not be scary - even without security. i went alone for an all-day training in a shoddy storefront non-profit. if more average people took regular trips to skid row, maybe more would be done to help homeless people into housing. (n.b. LA has an especially bad Veteran homeless population which is basically inexcusable.)
