Oh, how posh!

The royal couple continued their tour of California by attending The Foundation Polo Challenge at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club on Saturday where Duke William's team proudly won the match.

Attending the ceremony after the game, Duchess Catherine handed her hubby his Tiffany & Co. trophy along with what looks a treasured blue little box.

After receiving his trophy, William said:

"My father, the Prince of Wales, and my brother, Harry, were as green as that grass outside when I told them I’d be here today. Catherine and I have had a busy few days — so the prospect of being able to let loose this afternoon is wonderful for me."

Busy indeed! The couple have been on a whirlwind tour of Southern California since their arrival on Friday. They've attended Hollywood parties, charities, and mingled with celebs since they stepped foot in El Lay. Next stop? Skid Row.

Good luck, Wills and Kate!

Haven't those two and their families stolen enough loot over the past 1000 years; why do they need more stuff?

Schools in LA can't buy books, but the city can spend millions protecting these Yo-Yo's…

"along with what looks a treasured blue little box."

I have never seen so many mistakes on a major website in my life…this is pathetic.

He actually said this BEFORE the game during the luncheon, not after receiving his trophy.

After receiving his trophy, William said:
"My father, the Prince of Wales, and my brother, Harry, were as green as that grass outside when I told them I’d be here today. Catherine and I have had a busy few days — so the prospect of being able to let loose this afternoon is wonderful for me."

    Pampered assholes.
All their riches could go toward feeding starving children, helping the poor, the homeless, the jobless, the elderly, and the sick.
Why do they deserve countless mansions?
    Answer: THEY DON'T !

I'm soooo tired of reading about them. If they weren't rich, had lots of fancy titles, and tons of money, nobody would care about them. Why? Because they are not successful due to their achievements or brains. Neither of them (or anyone in their families) are considered bright light bulbs. So why waste web space fawning over them? We can never, never be them because despite achievements or talent, we weren't born into the 'right' family.

OH! And "what looks a treasured blue little box": although I have no idea what is inside, that is the characteristic box from Tiffany. Probably just another trinket they already have a closet full of.

@idontbelieveyou The royal family donate an awful lot of money to charity. Prince William is a patron of many charities and set up his own charity in 2009 with Prince Harry. The charity helps young, disadvantaged people, servicemen and women and promotes sustainable living. On top of that most, if not all members of the royal family have been involved with hands on charity work, e.g. visiting under developed countries and helping set up schools, wells etc

    Re: pinkbullet4
As a percentage of our salaries, many people in this country donate a large portion to charities; by actually doing service, or donating money. Besides the royals also receive a salaries, housing, access to more opportunities due to who wants to kiss their butts, etc.

I'm glad we don't have royalty in this country! It's a waste of our money. They are already rich, and just get richer by the minute. A few photo-ops, and they laugh all the way to their piggy banks.

Re: WandaR – They bring more in to the U.K. than they receive. The tradition is respected and valued there, plus Queen Elizabeth II is the head of The Commonwealth, a 54 country entity.

Bow to Royalty, it has been this way for centuries. American's… go have fun fighting your wars, but when Royalty is present, you will BEHAVE properly… if that is possible for y'all.

  13. 13

You Americans forget how the British support the U.S. in all their 'miltary conflicts'. Without their support, you would have only Canada as your back-up… Be careful who you hate, you ignorant people.

I have never understood Britain's fascination with "royalty". Born into a certain family, they get an audience of oohs and ahhs merely by showing up to accept another gift????

Folks, they're human like the rest of you. I once read that photographers were to never photograph the queen eating, as that made her too human. I suspect the queen has to sit to sh*t just like the rest of you, and it probably smells just as bad when she gets off the royal crapper.

Why do people pander to these folks? What have they accomplished to better humanity other than using their "royalty" status to show up at events and accept lavish gifts and have attention poured on them? I'll never understand why British continue to support the monarchy. That money could be better spent elseshere, even feathering a few of their own nests instead of giving the monarchy more wealth.

Then again, I don't understand America's fascination with celebrity either.
