Monica Marries Her Laker For The Second Time!

| Filed under: Music MinuteZportzLove Line

They love each other so much they just had to get married twice.

Monica and her Los Angeles Laker Shannon Brown married for a second time on Saturday in front of hundreds of friends and family.

The couple wed back in November '10 in a private ceremony, but opted for a much more extravagant ceremony this time around, exchanging vows a Vibiana, a 19th century cathedral in downtown El Lay.

Celebs like Lala Vazquez, Carmelo Anthony, and Shannon's fellow teammates like Kobe Bryant and Derek Fisher were in attendance, who wore shades of blue to the event, requested by the husband bride.

It must feel great to finally be able to profess your love in front of your friends and family! Congrats to the happy couple!

WOW! I am shocked by the ridiculous things people write in these comment boxes. Normally i would never comment myself but…… Two heterosexuals are in love and they renew their vows and they are making a mockery of marriage? Only because a friend of theirs who cheated in his marriage was in attendance?

I am all for gay marriage! but that comment was ridiculous! It sounded petulant ! Sorry that there are a bunch of assholes in the states that get to vote on who can love each other legally and who can't but ….. that doesn't make these two lovebirds a mockery of marriage! COME ON! LOL take it back friend!

And!!!! to the racist asshole! who hid behind his computer and typed the horrible comment that he did …. I feel soooo sorry for you! You must have such a sorry life…. demented and skewed views on reality. That much hatred must eat you up pal!

P.S Monica is awesome! I have loved her music since I was in highschool! you go girl!

Re: hellohowareyou – have you ever heard of the word "sarcasm?" seriously though, all i know is if a whole segment of americans were denied the same rights as i had i would refuse to accept those rights as a way of standing together in solidarity. instead people choose to get married multiple times not even thinking of how it affects the feelings of those who can not. and then to have people like kobe bryant there to congratulate them is the cherry on top the fucking cake. i don't expect you to understand since you are probably one of the "chosen" majority.

You Know what? I do see where you are coming from ATTFINCH. I don't believe personally that anyone should not have the right to marry the person they love PERIOD! And yes I am from the "chosen" majority that "get" that right. But I don't think its right that others do not have that right. I think it's totally disgusting that anyone is denied the right to be with someone they love. I am married, not long, but I don't feel I should be chastised for doing so.

Maybe i didn't see your sarcasm. But I do think it's sweet if ANYONE who is married is re-newing their vows and happy doing so.

I DO agree with you that the marriage has become a mockery and that many give up so easily and don't appreciate the fact that they are allowed to declare their love publicly and legally. But don't think for a second that gay marriage will not go through the very same thing. SHit just happens!

All I am saying is that we can not attack the happy marriages because they are straight. And certainly not because of their choice of friends.

I totally support where you are coming from…. sorry i didn't get the sarcasm.

We can't all be angelina jolie …refusing to get married til others can….but ! It certainly does not mean that we don't care and don't vote against BULLSHIT and advocate for people we care about!
