And the imprisonment of people for possession of marijuana, Does not happen on a one off occurrence. Although it does happen if the accused has been caught within the cultivation/manufacturing/ distribution laws. In fact in my state you can be the owner of 6 plants with only having to destroy if caught. With no consequences.
